    Featured custom maps

I think ubisoft should rotate the featured user created maps weekly, this will give more mappers exposure on the featured map list. no maps deserve to be on featured user list for months or years, and they should be picked by ubisoft not anyone from the community. if certain community members are given the power to choose or recommend, we all know this will lead to friends(inner circle) maps being picked. we ALL need to keep a sharp eye on this.

How i would do it. 5 new maps on each sp,co-op,mp weekly, last weeks maps removed, a map builder can only get on the list once.

I agree. Lets hope Ubisoft keeps an eye on that too.

Far Cry 4 was a mess I actually asked to try and get the maps changed but it didn't happen, I fully agree that maps need rotating and the same people shouldn't expect to have their maps on there time and time again.

I'm 100% in favor of this. More exposure to more maps is only a good thing.

If I remember right, the way FC2 did it was maps stayed on the Ubi recommended list, but would get pushed down the list by new additions. I think that's a good model to follow, as it allows new players that get the game at a later date to grab any maps that have been Ubi recommended in the past, but the most recent ones will still show first.

The far cry 2 lists are still the same today, full of outdated looking maps, never updated, BAD SYSTEM. we need 5 new maps each for sp, co-op and mp weekly, then the old ones from past week removed. a map builder should only be on the list once, this will keep it fresh. we need to promote new mappers, not the same old faces. it's new faces/talent that grow communities.

    Yh i agree

Ofcourse after awhile Ubisoft moves on, which is logical. But how about giving then the community or some thrustworthy members of the community the abillity to keep the featured maps up to date?

I like that Hero thing, that gives people 2x rewards to test new and untested maps as well!

The thing with that is some people are simply very good at making playable maps that others enjoy, I am not one of these and have never been big headed or said my maps are any better than anyone else's maps.

I will take Truesurv1val as an example, almost every map he makes is quality (some I might like more than others but generally he makes some very neat maps with good game-play and anyone who pushes out maps early one will always improve as they get used to the new tools and finding where items are so why should someone only be allowed to have one map on any featured list that's just harming the game.

A quality map is just that A Quality Map so it should not matter who made it but it should be seen and played by others, I think it would be good to not allow any person to have more than one map on any list at the same time and also to not have any favorites where they publish a map and it auto gets put on a list because of name over quality of map.

Some of these veterans have a lot to give and lots are extremely helpful and will bring on and pass over advice and tips to new builders if they are willing to listen.
Look at games like Forge, Dying Light, LittleBigPlanet they all do a good job of showcasing maps but a fact of life is that there are some exceptional people out there who can make amazing things & if you throw in sweet visuals, addictive and balanced game-play, good spawn / weapon placement and fair load-outs (balanced gamepley) then you have yourself a quality map so it should be about the maps and if good enough they deserve a spot IMO.

I agree on the fact tha featured maps needs to be changed regulary.. but not weekly, maybe every two weeks. Not for map makers "ego" reasons (man F* that), but as this gives players more reasons to come back and see, try, new maps etc

But I do not specially agree on the "human" method to pick and choose new featured maps... cause at some point Ubi will give all that up, sooner or later. A (well enough programmed) computer program 'could' do the job ... like, a certain ratio of plays / likes / dislikes/ no votes / left the game before the end / saved as favorites etc
