65 hours into For Honor, and this is STRICTLY the perspective of a player in South East Asia
1. As a person living in Malaysia, you will never be playing with anyone near the region such as Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Phillipines etc. However you will be playing with players from China 100% of the time. And it is okay because you can still play the game with zero communication.
2. Dominion. What is Dominion? Playing with people in China, it's quite literally Brawl. I've seen 3 people sitting in spawn fighting one enemy, while all the points are taken by the enemy. I've seen people running away from uncaptured zones to jump into a team fight as if it were League of Legends.
3. Raiders and Warlords. Those are everywhere and all they will do is push you off the map. I kid you not, I've lost count of how many of those I've beaten outnumbered, with just Zephyr Strike.
4. If you live in South East Asia, this game is for you if you're into the 1v1 Duels, outside of that, your experience can be summarized by what I've just explained. I've had way more fun grinding 1v1 against spamturions than I've ever had in Dominion(basically Brawl) or Tribute(basically Brawl).
If anyone has any idea that allows me to switch regions, do let me know![]()
I have discussed the possibility of allowing players to switch regions for matchmaking. I understand there are concerns that the plague I described might flood other regions around the world. Personally I would not worry about that. Once those players notice that the rest of the world does not play like they do, they will stay in their respective regions.
Cheers.
