    Im subconsciously giving up

Idk what it is, I used to care and now when I fight I can't react to the attack, whether it's because ive started to not give a **** or something else. I can't really put my finger on it but even if I feel like I'm trying I still lose, I feel empty playing this game. I don't know what's going on and why i fail at even simply blocking, by losing I put shame on my rep 50 orochi I've spend hundreds of hours leveling up, then the garbage rep 1 or 4 taunts me by spamming emotes and calling themselves good lol, I just laugh and close the application. Lately I haven't been able to put up with the ********, this game (before) has made me go through 6 controllers already, I'm on my last one and have sworn to never buy another, this game has made me so toxic. I feel empty playing it, I don't even get angry anymore I just feel a swelling sensation under my chest and I just have to go, it's disappointing, I'm disappointed, mainly in my self for some odd reason, because I can't beat people like how I used to, maybe it's my orochi? No, it's me. I don't know what to do with this game. I don't even know what to do with myself.

Fell you mate, now the game fells shallow and just don’t deliver the sort of entertainment I’m looking for. The lack of lag compensation and the way the game is running on dominion is just a waste of time. There is too much to rage on FH.

I think a lot of people feel the way you do. This season has trickled into nothing and the reworks rule the roost. I have waaaay more fun playing bots, especially because I get to grind them for xp and loot.

    Try trying harder

You're using an outdated hero that's yet to receive reworks.
That being said, Orochi is still more than viable enough to win fights if you're more skilled than the person you're playing against. . .

85% of the joy I derive from this game comes from my desire to improve. That's why I don't gank people or use revenge in 2v2s.
I would rather lose honorably and learn something from than it than win with some ridiculous advantage. The only thing you gain from winning is slightly more troops for the faction war, which also doesn't matter.

I recently made the transition from parry to deflect. I can't describe how fun and satisfying it feels to deflect light attacks consistently now that I've gotten relatively good at it.

This game itself lacks a real a sense of things like competition, progression, and achievement.
I find those things for myself by constantly striving to get better.
I can't imagine how people enjoy this game for more than a few matches at a time if they're just playing to "win."

Uninstall it. Take break for a month or so. Any game that turns you into a toxic waste dump is not worth playing. I felt the same way you did when playing For Honor and felt so much better after deleting that app.

Play games that make you feel good.

After the removal of timesnap, the speed of attacks on XB1 increased for some and decreased for others. I was always impressed with people who parry lights until I realized how slow light attacks look to some people. It’s a major advantage to have 100ms faster attacks and 100ms slower attacks against you. Hopefully lag compensation is a fix for this. If not I may quit shortly after. I can’t stand light spamming assasin meta on Xbox.
