    Any updates?

Have there been any updates when something will be done to replace Watson? Wouldn't help if they released more DLCs from each of the series (DS9 Defiant, Voyager, NX Enterprise, Discovery, and Inquiry Class from Picard...could even use the holo tech like the Aegis) to generate the revenue to pay for some sort of Voice capabilities? The game has lost a lot of enjoyment with the loss of Watson. Used to, I would play either solo or with a friend and have the AI run the rest. I feel like Ubisoft may have misrepresented this game if they were going to remove crucial features. Many games have voice capabilities, there shouldn't be a reason why this was removed with no plans to replace it.

Pretty sure this game is dead as far as any updates are concerned.

Fobose101: Hey there, Fobose101! At this time, we have decided to end the beta for the IBM Watson Voice Commands feature within the game. I definitely can understand how this feature may have felt crucial to the game, and I can definitely share your experience with our game development team about how they may want to mold the game moving forward! I do appreciate you coming to the forums to talk about this and share that sentiment with us.

The voice control didn't "feel like it may have been crucial to the game" it IS crucial to the game if you want to play in single player. It is very difficult and tedious to try and run this by micromanaging each of the stations by menu controls. This really is not acceptable to sell a game at a AAA price with no mention that it was still in beta on steam and that the voice feature was only being trials and could be removed at any time without replacement. This has made me very leery about buying anything made by ubisoft again since it's clear that you have no problem misrepresenting your games or abandoning support for them. Really, really disappointed as this was not a cheap game when I bought it and is now almost unplayable. On top of that, you didn't seem to made a genuine effort to let players know you'd disabled this feature (maybe hoping it'd fly under the radar?) leaving a lot of people (myself included) wasting time thinking that the mic problem was at their end rather than yours.

Edit: I saw there was a reply that we have no reason to be upset as it was advertised on the star trek site that voice commands were in beta testing. I (and many others from the looks of this thread and elsewhere) had never seen this article. I don't routinely scan for articles on the web every time I buy a game just in case the dev has a hidden beta test running. As honest developers, you should be making sure everyone knows what state your game is up front, instead of just trying to get money out of people who otherwise wouldn't have bought it as you're just hurting future sales. I bought it from steam where there is a flag for games that have features still in beta. Why was this not used? Or at least why wasn't it noted on the sale page somewhere that voice commands may not remain in the game instead of making them a selling point.

Here is the last news update posted to the game's steam store back in 2018!!! (No mention of watson's removal over there.) I can't see any mention of voice commands being a temporary feature. Only how great you guys are saying it is

Necro-ing the thread a bit. Ubi, if you aren't going to ever add content to the game... and in fact just remove content, why not open the game to the modding community? Modder's were able to fix bugs/glitches literally years prior to them being officially addressed, imagine what they could do if they weren't being actively opposed. Take a page from the book of Bethesda, at least for the games you don't care about, such as this.

If all you are going to do is sunset the game, then just let us have it. The worst that could happen is you sell a few more copies to people who buy it for the mods *couch Elder Scrolls cough*

Frickin' add simple keyboard bindings for the commands already so we can get to work and make a third party voice recognition work with it!

If you are too stingy to pay for the 1 hour this will cost a developer in order to not punch us all in the face, I'm sure the community will be happy to do it from their own pocket.

Someone god damn forward this to an Ubi*suit* who can see how idiotic this whole plan with no alternative was and actually has the authority to do something about it

    Hello there iroh99 & BreddGar!

Thanks for reaching out to us about this, and for taking the time to share your feedback and suggestions regarding the IBM Watson powered voice recognition feature in Star Trek: Bridge Crew.

As mentioned by my colleagues within this thread, this beta feature has been discontinued. We're happy to hear that this feature was enjoyed by players, and give thanks to all of those who used the feature and provided the team with valuable feedback. We have also passed on the feedback that this feature should be brought back to the game to the dedicated teams.

If there are any future updates for this title which may bring back this feature, this information will be shared on our official platforms, so please keep an eye out! In the meantime, remember that you can still issue orders to your NPC crew via the menu-based commands.

    Thanks!
