Fair warning: This is a rant thread, aimed at Ubisoft’s incompetence once again...

So the other day your forums went down for a long period of time for some “maintenance”... what does the maintenance actually maintain, or fix? There are no bug fixes, no improvements, and my experience on these forums are getting worse daily. Because why the hell, am I still been logged out randomly going in between threads and pages on this website?? I brought it to the attention of a forum mod 2 MONTHS ago, that this website logs me out when I go too view a new thread. For example, I commented on Fadys thread, after having to log in again after I had already been online, then after I wanted to make this thread but wanted the date of which I messaged a mod about it. So I go to find my messages, only to find I have been logged out and need to log back in again. What the hell is this? How can you, Ubisoft, let your official forum have this many problems for months on end without lifting a finger to fix it? So then, I come back to the For Honor general discussion page to start typing this to find I need to LOG IN AGAIN. 3 times, in as many minutes. Seriously, do your tech guys have any clue how to fix this?

Don’t get me started on the forum spam again. Over a year we have been dealing with this BS, with no end in sight. It’s almost like you are trying to get people to avoid your forum. I’m really reaching the short end of the stick with your company, not because of your in-game problems, but because how bad you guys actually are at providing customer satisfaction and fixing problems that have been brought to your attention months and now years ago. I’ve never ever experienced something like this in 15+ Years of been online. The fact that your forums are in this state, in this day and age of technology, speaks volumes about your company. Fix your sh!t Ubisoft, or you are going to lose another customer who will speak nothing but poor words of your company.

Edit: I post this, and want to view another thread just made. Still logged in, I press on the thread, and my page just basically refreshes. Press again on the thread, my page refreshes. One more time? My page refreshes and I’ve been logged out, having to go and log in once again. It’s a joke at this stage. This should never be happening, and even after clearing my cache, refreshing my settings, I still run into these problems.

Edit 2: What I just typed up above? It happened again as soon as I left this thread to view another. I’d like to say I’m done with these forums, because I really am, but I enjoy the discussion and reading everyone’s ideas too much to leave now. But I honestly don’t know how much longer I’ll be active on these forums. I am angry, as you readers can probably tell. But you can’t blame me. I’ve dealt with this for too long.

Sorry Ruby! I don't personally get the log out issues any more, but I did make sure to report that they were occurring. And steps are being taken regarding the prevalence of spam on this forum, but we'll have to see how that shakes out. We clearly have to use these forums too, and rest assured we are not big fans of the spam. We see it all, too.

This is unrelated to the recent maintenance on the forums. The maintenance occurred in order to fix issues with accessing the forums at all, which had cropped up yesterday.

I've have seen a lot less spam recently (obviously I'm not on here 24/7 so Idk if there is less at all times) and I don't know if its due to ubisoft and the mods or what but it defiantly seems better than before, at least to me.

Welp, I do feel bad that you got encouraged to waste one instance of your commenting time, to throw a comment on a thread which was doomed to get closed. You could have commented elsewhere more entertaining. I appreciate that you did though. I owe you one.

I was having issues on the website too. Not long after the recent maintenance was over, I was being redirected over and over again to the "undergoing maintenance" banner page whenever I click on the pre-saved links in my browsing history. Went to manually search on google then clicked on the forum link through google and still got redirected to the "undergoing maintenance" page even though the maintenance was long over as seen on Twitter.

I had to manually go through my browsing history and my cookies and site data and carefully wipe only the forum-related items, then after that had to manually retype the link to the For Honor forums in the address bar to force the browser to redirect me there instead of the "undergoing maintenance" banner page. I'm not sure what caused the "undergoing maintenance" banner page to overwrite every single link to every For Honor subforum.

Just yesterday when I tried to log in I was getting "page unavailable, try again later" several times until I spam refresh and it goes away. Not sure what caused it. Probably the hiccupped reboot of the servers after the maintenance.

Last month I've been having a lot of random logout issues and random stuttering whenever I scroll up towards the white bar at the top where the Ubisoft logo sits on the left. Even clearing cookies didn't help. Right now these aren't happening so I guess the frequent maintenances did fix some things.

I can only hope these forums become spam-free at some point. It's really irritating to read viagra and condom and escort spam threads in a... official videogame forum. I also speak Arabic, and those spam threads written in Arabic are just too funny and out-of-place. They're spam for fixing laundry machines and fixing refrigerators. With phone numbers leading to Egypt mostly. It just breaks "immersion" in this forum in a rather comical way.

It's worth noting I mostly surf the forum on google chrome on PC. I rarely use the phone, if I do it's a Samsung Note 2 using the default built-in browser.

Now I’ve cooled a little, I can say that I have noticed less spam in the past couple of days, and it is good to see. But even the little amounts that are getting through is still too much.

The log outs, I don’t know why they continue to happen to me, they happen consistently on a day to day basis but today, for whatever reason, was much worse than others and coupled that with some hard work I just cracked it a little. As I said, I’ve cleared my mobile cache, reset my phone even, but still it happens. Maybe I’ve just got bad luck.

@Fady, if you see this reply, know that I’m not ignoring yours. I can only pretend to be on the toilet for so long 😛

Don’t feel bad on my behalf mate, there’s still plenty hours left in my day and I don’t consider it a waste of my time even though the thread went down.

I also went through the pre-saved links’s on my mobile browser, but it also even happened when I manually searched for it. Eventually, I deleted the pre-saves, searched manually and it worked again.

Hahahaha i always wondered what those Arabic links where, was hoping they wouldn’t be recruitments for ISIS. Always out of place though to see a foreign dialect, when English is the language on these forums so I get what you mean. Kudos to learning a different language though, especially one without a Latin base. I always found it impossible to get my head around languages in school.

My mobile browsing is on a iPhone 8 plus, and safari is my main browser.

If there's one thing other than the forum spam which I really dislike when logging in on here, is when the webpage redirects me to some "page unavailable" or maintenance banner for no apparent reason and tempting me to clear cookies and cache. It's annoying. I don't like clearing browser data too much because I keep my login active on several websites and on email platforms. Becomes a chore to log in again into all of those...

Lol yeah, I'm always like "wut" when I read the titles of those Arabic spam threads. My native tongue is Arabic, though I speak 4 languages (Arabic, English, French, and to a degree German). Tried to learn Japanese a long time ago but it just did not work. I'm still friends with the Jap peeps I met in the meantime though. They're hella adorable.

May I ask where do you actually hail from, what is your home country?

But I get what you mean with the clearing cache, and especially it’s annoying when you have limited time on your hands/ don’t visit as often. It just leads to frustration and further makes you not want to return.

Haha, I'm humbled, well it's technically 2.5 languages seeing as Arabic is my native tongue so doesn't really count as proactive learning, and my German is kinda half-good :P thanks though!

Suffice to say, I hail from a rather grim, uninteresting place which lost its spark long ago and is now just a rotten rat cage where the elderly still believe it will all return to how it once was (lol). Weirdly still, there's a heavily varied culture here and a lot of people from a lot of countries reside here. It's a nice touch and an otherwise welcoming change, because I myself dislike the actual local native populace.

I don't feel very comfortable openly stating where I'm from as I'm not exactly proud of where I'm situated, nor of my ethnicity; however I would happily do so in PM. I'm, of course, based off in the Third World.

And yeah, I'd much rather prefer to pop some entertainment, or some other "entertainment", or do researches, than spend my time relogging into a myriad of websites.
