If this game is all about stealth...

Why do we not have a wire cutters to get through fences?

I think it's prone to get abused and makes every barrier a cakewalk.

You know, because for some people when there is a baseball bat on a sports shop that means they have to break every window with it and would blame the shop for putting baseball bat in there a.k.a the "When I can do it, means I must do it" people. I've seen these dumb*sses in a community of a niche game I recently play.

Back to wire cutter, I think it's better to add a struggle, for example wire cutting a mini game while the AI enemy will have a chance to decide to walk into your position. This will push team work while adding a shortcut feature without any means of making it an instant tool.

We don't plan to add wire cutters to the game.

Also, the Ghillie suit is not effective. Just a simple cosmetic. It does not hide you any more than a flannel shirt

We've been screaming about wire cutters since the betas.

Yup, this is another goofy design choice that annoys me about this game. If I want to get through a fence I either have to blow it up or ram it with a vehicle. It’s just not well thought out at all.

I mean, it doesn’t even have to be a pair of wire cutters. It could be some kind of acidic aerosol spray like the characters in COD4 used when infiltrating the Russian nuclear facility. Player approaches a fence, equips the spray, holds action/use button, makes a generic spraying animation that takes 10 seconds or so, then pulls away a man sized cut out of the fence.

It could even work like the supply boxes where the character gets sucked into the right spot so you could have pre-determined cut points.

A year later and people are still asking for a decent shooter gameplay mechanics... I'm guessing it is still only the 1% who are doing so.

I completely agree. it ruins the immersion of the game, when you approach a base from a specific angle, taking out snipers and roaming patrols, only to be stopped short by a chain link fence. Then forced to search for an existing opening, or find a car to ram the fence.

Or throw C4 and detonate it when everyone was around not knowing it was there and killing everybody else and alerted the enemies. The genius way.
