game closes down when loading game without any errors | Forums

When i go to play the game it loads for a second then closes down to the uplay launcher. doesnt even give errors or anything. had this problem since the new update

Hello,

I have been having the same issue and am extremely frustrated that there has been no mention of a fix yet. I have 70 hours on the game with no issues until this most recent update 4. I have seen on this forum, steam forums and reddit a lot of people having the same issue. I have tried running steam, Uplay, and the exe files as administrator, I have verified the cache files on steam, uninstalled, and reinstalled the game onto the main SSD with the OS. Nothing works. Please we need a solution!

I installed it for one of my friends to play after the update, and it seems to work just fine. I tried uninstalling mine and reinstalling it and that didn't seem to work.

I've tried reinstalling the game, deleting some files and redownloading them by validating files from steam, ran it as administrator and tried to run it on both Ubi launcher and steam launcher and it just shows I'm playing the game for a few seconds and closes immediately after with not even any pop-ups. I run the game, no pop-ups, and saying I'm not playing anything through the steam application. the game ran smoothly with no issues about 4 days ago, and then suddenly the game will not open.

Same problem until I ran uplay.exe as admin.
I had already done rungame.exe and grw.exe as admin to no avail.

No guarantees but after verifying files and doing what has been suggested in other threads (eg. delete cache etc.) just make sure you give that one a try - I also left rungame.exe and grw.exe in admin too and haven't bothered to find out if that is important or not after uplay is set to admin.

Try it if you haven't already.

I have tried Verifying the files running as admin etc. The game will not launch!

If using UPlay, go to game, select 'properties' in left menu.

Under the 'Local Files' section, click 'Verify Files'

I had a number of file errors that were corrected and game works again.
