    Worth coming back?

I was wondering if it was worth giving Wildlands a reinstall. I completed the main campaign and played until shortly after the Tier 1 system release. Has anything on the way of not-Ghost War been released or changed so far? Is Ghost War worth trying for someone who shies from competitive FPS most of the time?

I mean it's a good game but don't expect to feel complete. Nice to have when not in the mood to play your primary.

Single player and coop have nothing new to offer except for the Predator challenge - which is something only Predator movie fans probably appreciate. The fight itself is against a bullet sponge that can kill you with one shot.

Except for that you only get Fallen Ghost weapons if you own the DLC in the main game.

So from my side - its not worth the ~70gb of disk space and the monthly downloads of up to 14gb for anyone not playing Ghost War, since the PvE part is as dead as it gets - even the weekly challenges are just re-runs from last year.

Since I don't care about PvP I never touched GW, so no opinion on that.

As Bio mentioned, there hasn't been anything really worth noting in the way of adding replayability back to the core game. .....not for lack of trying by the community with recommendations of an NG+ mode, mission generator, etc.

As for Ghost War, they didn't follow the same vision as they did with the main game which is beyond me. Instead, they went with the ever popular class-based system, perks, special class abilities, tech/marking, RPG elements, etc. While it still retains some of that unique GRW tactical flavor it is absolutely ruined (IMHO) by all the tech, health buffs, spongy damage modeling, etc. ....and to add insult to injury for us HC fans, there is no hardcore mode to temper these elements because they claim it would upset the balance or is simply not in their vision for GW. ....which is ridiculous IMO considering other successful titles that utilize these very same mechanics include hardcore modes in their games.

They have acknowledged the demand from the HC community and have been (for months) looking into the "possibility" to add more HC components into their Custom Match. The problem is that CM is "invite only". ....meaning that you can only invite friends since there is no matchmaking feature to tap into the rest of the player base. However, the lead developer did say (on Reddit) that a searchable lobby is in the works for CM. .....which sounds all well an good but there has been absolutely zero communication on the subject as to what we can expect, when or even if it's still a viable option in their eyes. All I can say it that it's pretty obvious to me what their priorities are.

Either way, I think I'm done with GRW on the 27th when FC5 comes out. I even thought about reinstalling the Division again just to keep me busy for the next 9 days or so. .....I have already replayed a couple of other titles I had and I'm getting bored with GTAV since I don't have a community of friends in that game.
