Far Cry uses Dunia, Wildlands uses Anvil. (to be fair the ballistics in wildlands is pretty bad... like... insulting bad - although Wildlands is a way better game overall)

Way better game? I pretend I didn't hear it. Ghost Recon Future Soldier was much better. Better animations, far better stealth and no enemies with superhuman vision. I was hyped for Wildlands, and I finally bought it 2 months back for my PS4. I sold it after 4 days.

It was boring, weapons felt terribly weak, making AI being visible to the enemies was a joke (I know it's not realistic when it's like in Far Cry, but it's a video game), AI was awful and whenever I tried to use stealth, I was being spotted because the AI decided that the best way to get to the point I send them to was through the middle of the camp...nice. Oh, and the ABSOLUTELY AWFUL driving/flying mechanics. You drive a car on a straight road without even turning and you're being thrown around like a drunkard after 2 weeks of constant partying :P.

Not mentioning that as soon as one guy spots you, the whole base/camp is after you. Thaty's great, immersive and very fun indeed .

I sure wish that prone was a thing in Far Cry 5, it's one of the things that could get this game feel more superior to it's predecessors. For now it just feels like your regular modern Far Cry game, with the same mechanics that you found in the old ones, you just have new objectives to do. The roster is one of the only noticeable difference that makes this game distinguishable from Far Cry 4.

I don't think the ballistics in Wildlands were that bad iirc. And it had far better range than FarCry does with its 250 meters.
Both games dissapoint in the scopes area

Now there's an oxymoron if ever I saw one.
