Gamer won't Launch after a new 145mb update

Hello, The game is not launching either for me or my friend after we had a 145mb patch on steam yesterday (16th March) when I try to launch it uplay opens and it says "Synchronizing your saves with cloud" and then nothing happens, A friend owns a uplay version, he got and update for 15GB and now when he tries to launch the game it launches with error saying something like "game won't be stable, do you still wanna continue" and if he does continue then it carshes eventually, all this sh!t is happening after this new update, anyone else facing such issues or know any solutions? I have also made a support case with Ubi but you know how long they take, so meanwhile anyone else facing this problem? I have tried verifying files on steam and reinstall and repair EAC but nothing works.

I just went through the tedious process of verifying the game's files and it found some corrupted items that it corrected. My game now works.

I found the solution to this problem using a method brought up by a ubisoft staff from another post .you need to delete the whole cache directory in your uplay installation directory and rerun uplay .worked fine for me
assume your uplay installation directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher then the cache directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache
