After i did the update the game wont launch. it try's but nothing happens. i verified the file's and did all the trouble shooting.. what now???

Not sure if anyone at Ubisoft will even see this, or if they don't already know about it, but perhaps this helps somehow.

Without Steam, Event Viewer logs an error identical to what Powermouse1 posted, however with Steam I have a different but similar error:

My game won't launch either. I select play from steam library and it does the synchronizing thing but won't launch.

Not guaranteed for everyone but deleting the cache folder where Ubisoft is installed (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\) worked for me.
You have to completely close Uplay, check the notification tray at the bottom right to make sure its closed otherwise the files are in use and can't be deleted.
