Developer Update: Team Events, Hotfix and Robo Bebe | Forums

Hey New Kids, Buck from RedLynx here! We’re back with another weekly Developer Update. As you’ve probably noticed, we put out a hotfix yesterday, with fixes for some bugs we mentioned in our previous Developer Updates here and here


Here is a brief overview of what those fixes are:

· Cards occasionally drawn to hand while they are still on Battlefield.
· [PvP] Negative Phones Destroyed is sometimes displayed

We also added a new Report Player feature which we briefly mentioned in our previous Developer update-

"Report Player function, which will allow you to report a player/match if some odd behavior was noticed. Many players have requested this feature, and its completion has coincided well with the timing of this hotfix, so they will be released together. The Report Player function will be found in the “Settings” tab of the New Kid’s Phone Menu, and should help us to further root out any oddities or sources of player frustration.”

As there seems to have been a bit of confusion around this feature, I thought I’d explain the way it functions with a little more detail. The report feature is a tool to give us more information (such as user perspective) about different things happening during gameplay. It allows users to report various things after a match, so that we can diagnose issues or detect players who are attempting to cheat in some way. These reports are reviewed by our team, so that we may better understand various issues, and better assist players experiencing problems. However, due to this, if we find that users are abusing this tool, by falsely reporting players, they may have the ability to report taken away, or face other action.

Last Week

Last week we had our first ever TEAM EVENT! This was a pretty cool step in the history of Phone Destroyer. We saw some awesome teams collect a TON of event tokens and we wanted to reward those players! So we decided to give the top 3 teams special early access to an awesome outfit!

In first place, with a whopping 62,130 tokens, was NAMBLA. Second and third place were a very close race. In second place was DireTide with 55,676 tokens and Asia All-Stars came in third with 54,346.
Even if you weren’t in a top 3 team, though, we wanted to thank you for playing our first-ever team event! The support of our community is part of what makes South Park: Phone Destroyer so awesome, so here’s a huge thank you to all of our players, as well as a special shoutout to the top 10 teams!

This Week

If you’ve taken a peek at the in game NEWS, you will notice that our Feisty Cyborg, Robo Bebe is coming to town. We’ll have our second Team Event centered around Robo Bebe and anyone who finishes the Event, will get their hands on her, guaranteed! Robo Bebe is really awesome, as she gets faster after a kill. With each kill, her speed increases, which creates a sort of snowball effect, as her damage per second (DPS) increases with each kill, increasing the likelihood of another kill, which makes her stronger and that goes on and on. This does however, have a cap, as to not break the competitive nature of the game.

While you’ll be getting a sweet new card this week, you won’t be getting any of that delicious South Park: Phone Destroyer developer stream action.There will be no Twitch stream this week, as our beloved ThatDarnSteve is out for the week. We’ll be back at it next week, in the same time and place as always!


Next Week

Now for the bad news, next Monday March 19th, there will be an 8 hour outage, of all Ubisoft Services. This is expected to last from 7AM to 3PM UTC. During this time the game will be unavailable and any users in game during that time, will be removed from the game. Please be aware of this when doing things like refreshing PvP packs, or using various in-game services! Any match you are in when “the lights go out” may result in a loss, or a loss of rewards, as well.

While this is inconvenient, it’s also necessary in order to ensure our technical infrastructure is all in good shape, and well-maintained, so we appreciate the understanding and patience!

Just today i played 12 times:
8 players were energy hackers (3 of them extraspawned the whole deck in 1 minute, the others soft extra spawned till the end LV 12-15), 2 derankers (lv 15-16) and just 1 legit player (lv.14 win 3-0 cards lv 5-4).

You only allow 5 daily reports...

All your updates and all your events are useless if you dont eliminate this cheaters problem

This sounds like a bunch of crap! I've played since November and have rarely ever come across energy hackers. It does happen, very very rarely. 66% of the time, though....like you're claiming. I call BS. Throw down some real insight, real issues or get out so do we dont have to see your crying post about fake issues. Nobody's here to give you a special hug.

What game did you play?
Im lev 15, My main deck has 3 lev 5 cards and all the others at 4. And i cant beat a lev 11 with lev 3-4 cards?!?!?
Did you ever see my yt channel with tons of energy cheaters i have reported? Just calculating played energy and the actual available energy?
Most of energy hackers stick at 45-50 range rank and are at lev 11-16,

Probably you are one of the best legendary shopper player, maybe not... but for sure you dont know what you are talking about.

i just wished you guys would mention that there is a race for top collector guild , main problem with this game is that you never give full information about an event or nerfs or upgrades , you also nerf cards without giving compensation , main issue with this game at high levels is time you play , if i spent 10-20 days leveling a card requesting donations for it to be nerfed i should be getting compensation for the time ive spent on that meanwhile someone leveled something else .

A limit of 5 reports per day for cheaters?!?! Two thirds of my games every day are energy cheaters, so if you want us to be your fix for these ********s you need to take the limit off. I hit my five for the day then I got the worst one I've ever seen.... yay.....

Let's see, what's the cheater solution to a 5 report limit? Oh, I know, play later in the day so everyone's reports are used up. Bottom line, when are you guys fixing the energy hackers and the DDoS attackers that boot people out of matches?

After this update the game will no longer load for me.

Game always stuck at "Applying Configs".

I have tried reinstalling it several times, but that doesn't fix it.

Several players from our clan have same problem, we all have Xiaomi redmi note 3

just another ****ed up update. for me the game is broken.

event buttons not showing, instead of event items i get cartman caards with weird names...
