Detailed suggestion for a new faction

Hi folks and For Honor team,

first of all before anyone hit his keyboard full of hatred: yes the most important thing is balancing for a game like for honor. But nonetheless content is nearly as important for the future as balancing is.

So my idea is not new, there are several threads about it but i didnt see a detailed one with background and class suggestions.

    The Old Kingdom of Egypt.

BACKGROUND (skip this if you just want the classes):

At the day of the trembling and mysterious great earthquake a civil war arises in the ancient city of Thebes (Waset in old egypt). Different religious zealots instigated each other and violence arises and the first murder happened. Quickly different sides appeared: one worshipped Anubis, the other Seth and a third one Amun-Re. Just as all sects fighting each other the earthquake swallowed the whole city of Thebes and they arrived in a new World that wasnt their own. Thebes now places right in the middle of a gigantic desert. Baitet by the earthquake enormous animals arrives: scorpions as big as an elephant, snake as high as a giraffe. So the zealots agreed to a cease fire and fight for their city and their lives. After that attack the problems just got worse: they need water and food for a whole city. So a neverending struggle for survival began and endure to the present day. The reason why the other factions didnt know the egyptians are here as well is their desert continent lies far in the east and had only limited ressources of wood. So they hadnt any ship building. But now they found another oasis with a huge forest and can begin the conquest of the better situated continents. Forged in brutal enviroment they are fearsome warriors and they can kill even with the most primitive weapons.

    CLASS SUGGESTIONS:

    Vanguard

classical foot soldier equipped with light armor (maybe lino thorax like), a light shield and a mace like weapon.versatile and a jack of all trades

    Heavy

some kind of temple guard. heavy armor (prefered scale or lamellar armour, no mail) and wielding a polearm or spear (there is only one spear hero in the game for one of the oldest weapons in human history). huge amount of health and defense and a good range but slow (maybe cant dodge something like that)

    Hybrid

A specialised desert warrior equipped with a deadly chepesh. Standart stance is one handed but can change to two handed and combine these two. Strong attacks but low defence: the typical glass cannon

    assassin

Maybe a priest of a death cult or something like that. Maybe an ankh cross in the left hand and ceremonial dagger in the other. dodging specialist. more robes than real armor.

    MATERIALS SUGGESTION:

low tier: bones from the giant creatures of the desert or stone from the desert

    low to medium: copper

    medium: bronze

    high: meteoric iron

ornamentation: gold or better elektron and gems because gold/elektron and gems exists in exuberance in this desert

So anyone who comes this far: Thank you for reading this wall of text and i open the discussion and im curious about your opinion to this suggestions.

    See you on the battlefield!

So no interest of the community in that? Maybe a ubisoft official has something to say...

Yo dude, i like what you ve done with this egyptian thing, nice and clean ideas for the classes. The thing is, i don't think they want to add a new factionsfor the moment. This maybe why your post went dead.. I can see you invested your time and passion in this but don't be disappointed. There is nothing for the moment but if they add a faction next year or so they will take all this ideas of egyptian, african, arabic teams in consideration. Keep up your motivation for the community!

Hey, my man. I think your are not alone in this idea of new faction. I have done some fan art project around half of year ago. I took as inspiration Egypt, Iran, Iraq and India.

I think, I will post it also as a new thread just to keep idea fresh.

Nice guys. This year they will add China (personally i think it is to close to japan but ok). Maybe next year they will add a more different faction. I really like your fan art Alexzzunder, but the decorations of the warriors are little over the top for me But all in all they look great! Hopefully they will see this thread and take it as inspiration for a new faction next year.

I say keep the ideas coming guys. Remember, it takes 9 months to create a single character. Multiple characters get created simultaneously under the same timeframe. So early new faction suggestions would help give the developers some notice of what we would want next, unless they already have mapped out plans.

no to factions and characters from the middle east. until they hold the people there accountable for their actions. human rights, womens rights, right to lifestyle choice and respect for human life. i am sure the families of european nations and america. who have lost loved ones do to the actions of some those people. would agree a boycott of ubisoft products would follow if there added to this game

    Warriors

You should incorporate Zulu warriors and other warriors from the African nation.

I don't think a non-dodging hero would be a great idea. Think of all the bashes in the game: he wouldn't be able to dodge them.

A specialised desert warrior equipped with a deadly chepesh. Standart stance is one handed but can change to two handed and combine these two. Strong attacks but low defence: the typical glass cannon
I like this idea of the one/double handed weapon. Remembers Highlander, but he probably can still block (probably)

    assassin

Maybe a priest of a death cult or something like that. Maybe an ankh cross in the left hand and ceremonial dagger in the other. dodging specialist. more robes than real armor.
remembers shaman. A lot. Couldn't you think of something more unique? Maybe he could have a flail instead of the dagger (like in the fanart), and have something like long-range heavies but short-range lights.
