    [SUGGESTION] Unidad

Can Unidads behavior be changed to be more like a police force as they’re portrayed?

As an example, Unidad should only attack you if

-You kill civilians and they see it
    -you enter their bases
-Steal Civilian vehicles and they see it
    -You shoot at them
    Etc.

It doesn’t make much since that they just open fire on the first guy they see with a gun. I get that they’re on SB’s payroll so they’d fight the rebels but the Unidad have no reason to suspect automatically you’re working with the rebels. Not sure if this is just me or if other people feel the same so I just figured I’d bring it up here.

Even if they are on SB's payroll, their roll is to do so on the down low and not for the whole world to see but, while is nice to speak about this among ourselves... hoping that UBI will change it, and at this stage of the game is like asking for them to change the enemy and the squad AI... so in other words... they would have to come up with the proper GR experience game they promised and well... that's just not going to happen because it would take about 2 more years for them to have done that... seeing as how they mostly worked at the beautiful game and forgot they were making a Tactical shooter game... meh!

Unidad are corrupt, they're not supposed to behave in civil fashion as most police do. Their main job is to protect the cartel's interests, not the general public. Ubi are also not intending to portray them as a police force as you say, or at least that's what you appeared to mean. They are simply a corrupt military regime working for the cartel, that's it.

Several times in the game small groups of Unidad troops are seen taking advantage of civilians. These are not the type of NPCs that would police crimes, be it killings or car theft. They would literally have to rewrite an entire faction to accommodate what you're requesting.

Anyway, the Unidad are pretty easy to avoid, and contrary to what you said they don't always recognize you. It's pretty easy to avoid detection from paroling Unidad choppers just by going prone or crouching in bushes. Also, choosing what road vehicle you drive makes a big difference. You can pretty much drive by any Unidad troops without detection in the Armored SUV, which is a Unidad vehicle.

You can also steal Unidad buggies or SB trophy cars and get by them easily. As far as drop vehicles go though, the armored SUV is the most covert, and also the most resistant to damage. It's nearly indestructible compared to other vehicles.

Military soldiers in Latin American Countries always take advantage of civilians, common knowledge and part of living (and of course this may not be so on ALL of the countries but I have it in good authority that it happens in many) but as corrupt as they are, facing the gallery (world view) they do appear to be keeping the peace in those unrest/unsettled countries while the big wigs take the money paid by the cartels so when they are needed to lend a hand to the cartel, they will do so.

Now, contrary to what UBI devs believe, cartels don't have money crapping out of their pants to have the amount of helos and birds of prey they seem to throw at you when hunted. Sure, this is a game but C'mon, have some respect for people with half a brain... let alone those of us that can count pass 100.

If you enter their base then yes, they will shoot you on site and check your papers later... bloody as they will be.

The whole game could have been done in a more realistic/authentic/Game-ish way w/o going to the extremes like they went with their blurry vision

I think if most games had all the realism many want, it would be too boring to play. When you translate real life to the game world, it has to be something to keep the player active and on their toes. That said, I think their taking Narco Road the movie theme direction was an utter disaster. There was such a good potential for a more realistic drug DLC, which is what I was hoping it would be, but they totally blew it.
