    hey guys i want your opinion. what is the best pci video card out there. i have a friend who wants to upgrade his gfx card but he dont have an agp slot and he dont wanna spend the money to buy a new mobo and a new case(he has a dell so you cant really put in a new mobo). yea, so what is the best pci gfx card now.

    PCI sux0rs the big one (honestly, it CANNOT rival AGP), but if you have to, try something like http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-434&depa=1

    Though, it "may" not work with the Dell, my Aptiva (tho it is really old) refused to take a TNT2...

    If you're getting a non-gaiming card Matrox is top notch. Put the 2-D quality of a Matrox next to any other card and it'll waste it.

    voodoo is old, but the best of its time, don't dis it unless you know what you are talking about... heck, new nVidia technology, the SLI, utilizes ideas from the Voodoo 2!

    are you sure he cant put a new mobo in? if he could, that is what i would recommend. otherwise. i guess the best choice is the fx 5200 128 mb pci (there might be a 5700 pci version too) or the radeon equivalent, which i think is a radeon 9200

    i think that he is gona geta radeon 9250 soon
    he doesnt want to upgrade cause he will be getting a uber laptop when he goes of to finland for another of school and he will need it for college
