But the kind of people I play against I have to work my arse off to even get close to wining a fight. The only way you're going to consistently win as mushu at my level is if you're good at delaying deadly feints as much as you can as consistently as you can and throwing in hard feints mid combo to quickly flow into blade blockade on specific attacks. and even if you manage that you can easily be baited in this regard and be GBed for free.
It's just such an uphill battle to play Aramusha at a decently competitive level that it genuinely frustrates me to play as him.

Both zerker and mushu are combo heros who rely on speed and feints to get anywhere. it sucks to have any hero put you on your heals. But trust me when I say these 2 heros would be dead in the water if you played at a decently high level. Only reason zerk manages to actually work is because she is on HA crutches with unblockable chain finishers. Mushu has neither. entirely relies on delaying his own feints. and some how managing to bait people into BB. And even then that requires you to get in on someone. Which happens very little as mushu.
Exactly. I literally have the worst reactions (there are online testers where you tap the button and my best even when I knew when it was coming was still over 300ms) and with any character on Xbox I can Block his onslaught incredibly easily. I might miss 1 every so often but get right back into blocking it. Deadly fients are useful, but even still force 0 reaction other than moving your guard. If he gets shut down with his chain it’s the end of the game.

Blade blockade is utter rubish if your opponent can play at least 10% not like a total noob. Once you give them sign you are looking to possible BB with the horrible recovery frames, you might as well not even try because after the 1st time you can assume 1. They are trash and you won’t even have to BB. Just chain spam

or 2. They’re going to feint a lot to bait a BB and now there is no point to even trying as risk vs reward would make you a fool for doing so. You’d have better lucky trying to chain fient into zones and GB

It's funny (in a sad way)...

I can win tournaments with two different heroes so far, and I have PvP games in which I get 20+ kills and over 1000 points... yet the Aramusha and Kensei still seem invincible to me, and I'm always told that I'm just terrible.

Every other hero, literally every one, even the PK, Shaman, and Glad all feel fair and counterable when I fight them. I've been touting the line that 'difficulty is subjective,' it's just hard for my brain to accept that what happens in that clip is correct. I STILL watch and believe I dodged and that those were light attacks.

The only thing I can think of is to ask a buddy who play Aramusha (and says he walls over everyone btw) to spar with me until I get it.

Not only did you dodge extremely early, you also dodged in the wrong direction. When dodging attacks, dodge into the attack to avoid it. Most if not all side unblockables have a huge radius of attack in the direction the are moving. Had you dodged to the right instead of left, you would have probably been fine
