Anyone else wondering where in the world Scott Mitchel is right now? I thought that there would at least a nod to him in the dialog of wildlands...

Scott Mitchel is the new leader of the Ghost, you can see him on GRFS as the one giving orders from above.

On Wildlands Dark Water is mention that Mitchel is the one who sends the Ghosts to Bolivia after Bowman asks him for help. He didn't like the idea of having Nomad as a team leader but he allowed Nomad to stay with his team.

I really recommend you to read all the books and play all the videogames.

At the end of Advanced Warfighter 2 he ends very wounded so he can't be an operator anymore, with the time working just in base he take the leadership of all the Ghost teams.
In Future Soldier he is the one that give orders and explain all the objectives before each mission.

About the books I want to read them all, can I buy them in PDF format?

Mitchel got pissed when he almost died because of inept teammates, quit and left with all the other good operators... hence the crappy ones we seem to be getting now.
