Ok, so one of the worst things ever is being in a fight, any kind of 4v4 (tribute, dominion, skirmish, elimination and 1v2, 1v3, 1v4, 2v2, 2v3, 2v4, 3v3, 3v4, 4v4) and having an opponent pick you up from behind as a shugoki, as a raider, slide tackle from shinobi, lawbringer ax push, or just generally being knocked into an animation from which you have no opportunity to respond, and then different opponents from the other team just rain down attacks that kill you.
This is the worst with shugoki and raider, and isn't as bad with you getting knocked down from a slide tackle or kick or pounce/bite or ax push (though it is still complete crap when those happen). It should be the case that if shugoki picks you up the others opponents attacks just don't effect you while he is holding you (or while raider is running with you.) if they do have an effect on you, the impact should be greatly reduced and the opponent who has you in the air should take the full extent of the damage as well.
This, of course, isn't to mention how stupid it is that raider can carry you a mile and drain all of your stamina, of how shugoki can one shot you off a free grab (if you are fighting someone else and he demon embraces you from our of your field of vision.) These are really lame abilities for a 4v4 fight. They are completely fine in 1v1, but when everyone on the other team just get a slew of free hits, I just fail to see how that is ok?
I think it is very clear that 4v4, while by far the most fun way to play for honor, is currently in a really lame place. Not only are the feats pure stupidity (especially insta-kill AOE feats), deathball ganking cowardly, revenge useless, and hero stacking truly beef turdy, but the fact that these characters can perform a cheap shot move that can be guaranteed to land and leave you helpless for a slew of attacks, I mean that just makes you question if that's the working condition the dev team wants?
I am curious, is that honestly it? Do the devs love the spammy, ganky, cheap shotty nature of where the game is going? Maybe this is what they envisioned? This is simply a game, and maybe that is what they want. For Honor as a title might just be a troll? I am not sure, but the actions taken certainly seem to support that as the teams end goal.
Anyways, does anyone agree about the free shots when an enemy has you on their back or shoulder as being totally unfair? It just seems like there is no way to justify that as being a legitimate tactic.
They need to change Revenge and Ganking in for Honor. The Game is meant to be spread out on the zones, because boosting them gives more points.
But its far superior to just run circles arround the points and slaughter everyone with animations you are stuck in. Lawbringer Impaling Charge, The Long Arm, Predators Mercy, Shugoki Hug, Raider Charge.. those are the most common. If you get hit by these, there is little chance to survive.
Also Revenge is a joke now, I dont know why you get dmg boosted out of it anyway, for me Revenge is a defensive tool, yet it doesnt provide any defense at all. Being TOP heavy spammed (even from OOS) while perma stunned or in an animation does little to no harm while overwhelming one person.
Funny though, the best characters against gank squads are assassins, because quick rapid attacks while swapping enemies is the best defense. This is ****ing stupid system. Heavy Slow Charackters have no chance against fast ones. And a Berserker with bleed and debuff feats is far superior than any **** Flesh Wound or Tough as Nails from Warlord.
Attacking > Defense .. because people cried about Turtling. Ye, turtle sucks in 1v1, but ganking sucks in 4v4 .. easy fix though
- Any Enemy Attack during a Animation you cannot exist, stops the animation and gives huge Revenge Bost
- Revenge Defense atleast double the defense amount of now
- Revenge less dmg than now
- give more revenge, the more enemies you face
- give revenge for counter GB enemy off screen, because on the high level gameplay, its so easy to take someone out and not trigger his revenge, its to easy to gank and little to no risk
