Yet another prominent name on here, and a friend at that too, having gotten fed up with the current state of the game. This is just sad and it speaks volumes.
I understand and relate with what you said. A break is much needed. A break from this downward spiral snowballing itself further down a deep, dark abyss. And no telling what's on the bottom. Might be fresh untouched water, might be nothing but bare stone to crash on, or might be rock-solid, razor-sharp crystals that will shred everything apart. One good outcome, two bad outcomes.
The reworks are drawing the final straw for me as well. I've been already fed up with a myriad of things.
- The incessant, unfair, ridiculously imbalanced and downright greedy grinding system, because you got this game for free in a bag of Kelloggs Corn Flakes
- RNG dominating everything, I bet in Russia they call the game For Roulette
- Oh so you spent 10mins against a strong premade in Tribute and you lost by a hair? here's a "no loot found" screen for ya
- Terrible and laughable player progression and reward systems. But hey you can waste all your Salvage away on 2 reputation levels, what more do you want? here's a neon glow outfit for your troubles
- Mediocre-to-useless inventory management system. Never store gear, because then our RNG loot will mean nothing to you and you'd have more peace of mind which is a big no-no
- No in-game blacksmith or smithing forge to craft gear, we decide what you wear with our RNG server, now shut up and go to your room
- You want to apply Change Look to your Refined gear? Change Look now costs 1,000 Steel because we're generous, we can't even believe we've lowered the price this much
- No in-game gear trading system between players. You don't want it, dismantle it, you're not allowed to turn it into another man's treasure
- Ruined hero aesthetics with each new Van Gogh outfit and lame, childish out-of-place effects, priced ridiculously high of course, but you can't complain, this is how they see their playerbase after all
- Customization at large still a basic thing, limited, with way too many duplicates here and there just to fill things up and make it look "jam-packed"
- Moar spikes plz, I like them, can't fight properly without them, I need them to git gud and parry 200ms unblockables
- Oh you can't react to 200ms unblockables? too bad then, this game isn't for you, we don't care how long you've stayed around since before release
- We equally don't care how we sold you an entirely different concept before the alphas then launched a different planet of a game then turned it into a different solar system by season 5
- Why even give you new armor, nah, we'll just rehash common tier gear into god-tier blackness, we never forget the spikes. New armor takes longer than a year!
- Meme culture worming its way inside the game and killing it from the inside out (thanks, Reddit)
- They remove mass-wanted modes like Test Your Metal but hey here's Ranked Dominion with a 10% keksie boostie so you can shut the fcuk up
- Dance Of Death returns as temporary again, because we enjoy pissing you off again after we take it away again and make you beg for it again
- We can't make Apollyon's voice an option to choose in the settings, sorry, it would split the playerbase too much
- Ranked Modes still a joke, their reward systems a joke, because they're inherently Circus Modes but they have no DATA on that naming convention yet
- Your rank still means nothing, maybe you can go boast about it to yourself in the mirror or something
- The joke of the century of a matchmaker, "find another opponent" equals "I'm putting you again with the same opponent just to piss you off and force you to close app"
- Faction War being nothing more than a Den filler topic and they refuse to overhaul it, here's two castle models to decorate it
- Choice of Faction still means nothing, no Faction Loyalty bonus/boost or anything. You're a Knight who's secretly a Viking and you have Samurai beliefs. Hell you're not even a medieval Knight, half your Faction are Romans and Greeks, deal with it.
- They refuse to talk about a 1v1v1 Faction Brawl or an 8v8 Siege Mode, now that "servers" are in place
- Servers have introduced even more lag and now you can't even tell who has red wifi icons because almost everyone is marked green now, yet they lag
- Lag comp is soon™ and even then, no telling how efficient it will be, it will probably need half a year of adjusting and DATA™
- These dedicated servers are missing the core features of dedicated servers, like choosing region, seeing pings/latencies, etc
- Zerker and Conq became bigger cancers than Shaman, so now you can finally shut the fcuk up about Shaman. We put a Shaman on your Shaman so you can Shaman while you Shaman.
- 4v4 modes still horribly imbalanced and poorly designed and they still refuse to address the feats, because they're part of the non-existent lore so they can't just remove them. People are enjoying what's been given to them anyway, so why put an effort in improving it. They're happy with the empty, dented Pepsi cans, licking tiny dropplets of Pepsi from the dirtied opening.
- The shortened inactivity kicker is only really kicking innocent people from matches
- Command input responsivity discrepancies
- Controller vibration detection discrepancies
- The disappearing weapons bug is still here
- Adding insult to injury by releasing a Starter Edition where newcomers will grind even more for Steel and will get baited into more microtransactions
- Price of things in-game slowly going up further while Steel gain remains the same (because fcuk you)
- Oh you were never meant to unlock all heroes or outfit them all with good-looking patterns and ornaments and executions, so fcuk you twice
- They likely won't support a full-fledged Singleplayer with expansion packs, why should they, go get catapulted in Dominion and git gud, make sure you use that museum decoration thing of a sword when you kill a player, spam the duckface instagram emote afterwards for extra renown
- We can't give you a deeper, better-crafted lore because we haven't yet figured out how to charge Steel for it

Why am I still playing this game? oh yeah, I won't last long either. I'll wait till end of season 5 and whether a faint glimmer of hope will show itself. But I'll most likely show myself the door instead. And I'm certainly not recommending this game to anybody.
I won't be making a thread about it. I think I've already stated everything above (of course there's more but don't feel like occupying an entire page), and I believe a silent departure hits harder.
I hope you at least check back in here once in a while and keep in touch. I know I will, still got some connections on here.
