A few thoughts before I head off.
Typically I don't play games that want to be esports; if nothing else the audience of those titles give me a migraine--the Billy Mitchells of the world--but For Honor was offering a dozen things I've wanted in a game since forever. But over the year since the game's release it's become very apparent that all the things appealing to me about the game were not the developer's priority. Not in the slightest. The personality of the heroes, the lore and the setting, the values and style of each faction, and content that would allow me to experience these things alongside a friend or two.
It's painful to know that my proverbial $60 is worth less than the person who just wants to grief other players, "rub salt in their wounds", and trash talk their way through a twitch stream. Their presence in this community is valued more than mine. And maybe players with interests like mine really are so far in the minority that it isn't worth paying attention too. But then I see this forum and the people who keep leaving are players it at least seems have common interests. So I don't know.
But there it is, those are my thoughts. I'm going to dial it back and maybe revisit some other games for a while. If the Warden update is really cool I'll come back and check it out, but for the moment dealing with Conq's instant recoveries is something else I can live without.

There goes another promenant name here. Maybe in some months the game could return to something worth our time. Maybe they can figure things out. They do keep working on it you gotta give them that, maybe it's not always good what they do but it is evolving. I understand why you go and it's too bad that is how so many of us feel but we are not heard.
Good luck and good bye, my friend.
I really hope the devs to listen here, lately it seems they dont care for the serious part of the playerbase at all.... The last warriors den really proves it, it was almost unbearable to watch for me.... Literally nothing but lame jokes, git guds, and a dev roadmap for the next 2 months where the most exciting thing is the double XP event....
We really cant address the feats, hero stacking, bugged indicators, unbalanced gear in the next 2 months? Literally not 1 of those things have been addressed by devs, but they sure as hell have the time to hop on a stream and tell us to gitgud. Safe to say, I wont be launching for honor for a while.
Ohh the feats... Cancer incarnate. I feel like there is so much s h i t in the game that could easylie be fixed if the devs were a little more serious about it. Sad.Originally Posted by BTTrinity Go to original post
I've been saying this stuff for months. Every time I would; some Git Gud player would make some sarcastic comment about how it's not the games fault; it's the players. Actually; no, it's the games. The game has been filled with unbalanced BS since Centurion was released and each major update has pushed the game further into the Gank/Spam joke it is now. Ubisoft is concerned about getting as much as they can in terms of real money from Steel and little else. It's obvious to anyone with common sense they have basically given up on the game. Sure, they released some servers but they only did it to ensure that their limited player-base doesn't dwindle even further. The concept of the game was amazing but it's turning into a massive joke. The new emotes really proved it. Don't get me wrong; if only a few people were salty about the game it would be fine but the game lost 90% of their population within 3 months of launch and have never recovered. Each major update brings people back for a month and then; adios. It's not a Salty player problem. It's a players want a game that is actually enjoyable to play and not a spam gankfest which is all the game is now. They need to make 1v1 modes viable for steel/exp and they would bring back a lot of players.
everyone get tired of any game eventually.
its about 3500 players per day now which is much higher than the last 9 months. console i dont know numbers for.
but it is not a MASSIVE game like pubg etc. never will be. too difficult.
i like the events they add, it is something new now and then.
i played more than 600 hours now and it is much more than i hoped for.
so bye and enjoy life!![]()
This seems very dismissive.Originally Posted by mGutGro Go to original post

It isn't them just being "bored" or "burnt out", this is a solemn farewell from somebody who used to enjoy playing a game, but then had that game changed to something else, something they no longer enjoyed for some very valid reasons.
And honestly? The tone between all these veteran players/community members leaving seems very consistent. This isn't just a small, isolated issue. This is a real problem that is costing the game both valuable community members and further tarnishing the game's (and the developer's) already shaky reputation. Please don't just assume that all these players are just "bored" with the game. There are games I've played for literal years that I'm not tired of. But For Honor has been constantly changing since launch, and a lot of those changes have been... Less than popular.
