Can we have flares on aircraft to help avoid SAM’s? It’s really difficult for starting players to effectively make use of aircraft when they haven’t mastered dodging missiles. Plus this is something that should’ve been there to begin with if SAM’s were obviously planned to be in the game.

You don't really need to dodge them. One of the game's load screen hints is to fly low to the ground to avoid SAMs. I have found that canyons and river valleys work best. Often times direct routes are hardest, especially where the terrain is very hilly and hard to stay low.

Practice makes perfect, aside from being a shooter game, UBI has given you a flying game for free but you must master it first... fly first shoot later is the ticket.

^True, you're less likely to think you cannot avoid them if you don't first get used to flying the aircraft. It takes a while to unlock helis as drop vehicles, but there are many safehouses with helis. So travel around, unlock safehouses and fast travel to the ones that have them.

We've heard this feedback before and sent it to the team! I don't know of any impending changes involving counters to SAM sites, but flying low does go a long way.

SAMs aren't that difficult to avoid, but players without much experience should probably avoid Media Luna down low. Come in above the SAM ceiling, which is 800m. Otherwise NOE and taking advantage of elevated terrain is the way to go. Equipping countermeasures to aircraft could have been a nice upgrade to unlock.

The real issue with SAM batteries is the ludicrous and completely immersion-breaking respawn mechanic.

flying low does stuff all to avoid sams you basically have to drive along the ground to avoid them which makes calling for a chopper mute
