I am doing the Blockade of Germany it says sink one carrier near the British Isle ,where is the British Isle I searched the the search area in a circular pattern for the carrier so far I found many destroyer groups no carrier I moved on to the blockade line I searched and found so many warships together (lots of blue lines) I was afraid to try and attack them(recently a sense of fear came over me when ever i was searching for ships)so where is this British isle and where may i find the carrier? P.S (I have a slim time frame to do this)

The British Isle would probably be the entire Island of Britain. (Please correct if i am wrong.)
I too have been unable to find the Carrier.
A newbie question from me too...what are AMC ships?

The AMC ships will be found in the designated area and will look like Rawalpindi transports.

From Eoweth advice:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Sit just outside of Loch Ewe and catch the AMCs as they pass. Warship contacts moving slowly north out of the harbor.
For the carrier force just hang out south of Plymouth in the middle of the channel and they'll pass right over you. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

The AMCs have WHITE flags on the back and 2deckguns (one port, one starboard) just in front of the super-structure.
The normal ship has RED flag and possibly only machine guns on it. The latter doesn't give you credit for the Blockade mission.
I found both types lying together in Loch Ewe harbor

A little thing which needs to be stated (WITHOUT GIVING THE GAME AWAY
) is that they show up as warships (blue line on sonar)not black line as merchants as they are armed merchants but you don't get the little yellow circle around them - when you get close they show up as the red squares.
After many tries I discover this by accident and have found and sunk 4 in the last hour - got two together North of Lock Ewe in Convoy. In this mission, have sunk over 200,000 tons of merchants before I found this out (and the carrier and all up 50,000 tons of warships) keep having to skip back for more torps.
They are exactly as paulhager says - Rawalpindi transports - look up the list and pictures of ships for ID.
