I'm not getting any div tech in supply drops. Any idea why?

My only problem is with ammo type mechanic. Every time I reload, auto reload or restock my ammo it switches to a different type. Perhaps making it only switch when the clip is full and pressing the square button or better yet only holding the square button will switch ammo types.
