    The Fate of GRW

Before GRW came out i spend hours watching the trailers of the game over and over again, I was so hyped. I even participated in the beta (i lost it when i received the email, i was alone at home but the whole street knew about the beta) lol. GRW had a rocky start, a lot of bugs plagued the game, the campaign ending which leaves you with no satisfaction at all was and still is frustrating, a website set up to keep track of youre stats and progress that does not work properly to this day etc are all things which left many players dissapointed, But Ubisoft kept working on it and now most of the game is doing much better. However, a thing i do notice is the sudden focus on pvp.
Is pve not important anymore? Or is it that pvp brings in the most money? I really want to understand because often i get angry when i think about the potential that is not being utilized in GRW. I mean yall have recreated Bolivia (topnotch work btw) but after finishing the campaign i struggle to keep playing the game (and i realy want too cause i like GRW, no no no, i love GRW!). So my question to you Ubisoft is: What is the fate of the GRW? Can we expect more updates for pve (i dont do pvp) or should i find another game because there is none coming? A fan.

Regarding to the latest Informations and the Anniversary Video there is "a lot to come".
I can't tell you what exactly that means as we rarely get specific Informations from Ubisoft.

Thats good news! Didn't expect any details jsut wanted to know if we can expect more pve content. Cause to be honest i thought it was going to more like Hitman where players receive an episode (target to go after in the case of GRW) after a set time period. Cause one of the launch trailers shows all these Santa Blanca targets apperaing on the map as the camera zooms out (epic btw). Personally (bit late now lol) i think that wouldve helped extend the longevity of the campaing mode. But, there is more coming so i will wait patiently! A fan.

P.S. Where can i submit my ideas for GRW?

......we do know they're excited about it but they just can't share even the most general details of what they are excited about for some reason (as always).

All I know is that I'm ready to stick a fork in GRW come March 27th.

I had a feeling you were gonna respond like that. Why are you angry? Not saying you shouldnt be just curious.

The worst aspect of Ubi, is how tip lipped they are about their games, not just wildlands. They rarely allow their developers to discuss what they are working on, beyond a couple of weeks before release. Even with something as big as PVP for Wildlands, the devs weren't allowed to say anything beyond that they were looking at it, until it was almost ready to be released.

Personally, I would prefer if they would just list all the things that they are working on, both PVP and PVE, and if they actually follow through with 80% of it, then great, and explain that the other 20%, they just couldn't get to work properly at the time, but may be revisited in the future..

I understand the frustration, most major game developers work that way. I dont understand why either i mean, its gonna be released anyway so no point being secretive about it. I think it would make players more enthusiastic for things they work on (or less). But if less, then that could serve as a indicator of what not to do. Game developers should listen to their player base more often instead of presenting a game or things ingame that they think are cool. Not saying that they dont come up with cool concepts, they do, its just that when it comes down to feedback from players, they dont listen (but they do ask for it). Its like they are saying,we know better, just because their name is Ubisoft, Rockstar or EA. Game developers need to start thinking out of the box to make games more interesting and prolong the longevity of games. The current formule is getting old, next gen is here but the power is not being utilized. Ubisoft for example creates awesome open worlds but lacks the ability to keep players engaged. In the case of GRW the biggest mistake they made was to give us all targets to go after. It would be better to work episodic, give players something to look forward and prepare for. They should've also created a lot more bosses/enemies to go after for this game, i mean they recreated Bolivia (no easy task) what were they thinking creating a handfull of bosses. All of the underbosses except El Muro have only one mission, a bit cheap and no challenge! With these kind of games its smart to think of continuation after the campaign. What if a new boss or an old one sees an oppurtunity to rise back to the top after El Sueno's demise (when players choose to eliminate him)? What if El Sueno finds out who of his trusted companeros ratted him out (when players choose to spare him) and sends out a death squad after each one of them? What if he escapes custody? So many possibilities!

We, as gamers, do play a small part in them being this way.

When you get so much speculative aspiration followed by bitter recrimination based on what was or is hoped for more than what was promised, then it doesn't take a genius to work out that you're better off with the lesser of two evils; the say-nothing approach. Add to the mix that they can't actually always achieve what they'd like to and have deadlines to meet, and again we play our part in creating that pressure, then minimising the information becomes the best option for the game companies. As we also live in the social media age where the timing and dissemination of information release is a science, then we have what we have with Ubisoft here.

Do I like it? No, so don't shoot the messenger as usual, guys, but I can understand it. NG+ was never implied or promised for Wildlands, more PvE after the first year was never promised before release and only being hinted at now. Yet these two issues are key sources of frustration among the fans. Will we see these things? Yes, I think we will see NG+ and we know that more content is coming, but we won't get much advance warning on specifics.
