You can clearly see that from the amount of crowns in the names in LBs, the outfits etc..
People like the game. But to us, fair players and riders, we dont like to PAY to WIN.. We pay to fix our bikes faster cause otherwise its really slow progress of that matter. We pay for cool outfits, GTs for more competition, we pay for whatever we pay. But we dont pay to win.
I think only a few like that. So think of all the rest..
An example: After 4 years since your release, you create the "Love Express" event.. And you ask from someone who plays and really enjoys the game and finished the story line and continue playing it cause its awesome, to reach the 41500 points of "LOVE" in a month in order to take all the rewards the event can give.... meaning daily average score of points more than 1300... .Simply saying, Paying gems for boosters and playing the event at least 3-4 times per day is not enough to get you to the top.. Well i strongly disagree to that. I consider myself as an active player, playing almost every day, Spend already at least 400 gems on that event(i dont know if this is the max but sure is the min) currently having only 10304 points with no chance to the top, with the event ending in 8 days and i belong to the first 6%..!!!!
Imagine how many people dont have the slightest chance of taking the rewards. Or this 6% is the percentage of my rewards..
Please dont turn it a totally play to win game...
Fix your reward and difficulty to that, system.
I agree with all of the above fellow players suggestions, bugs fixes and improvements.
Keep up the good work of what you created..
i had lot of work past few days and missed your conv. Open, saw the monthly discussion, post and then saw yours.
    My thoughts also xitooner..

It’s good to see all your perspectives and honest feedback here. Since we’re at it (although we’ve discussed in the past), what kind of events you think to make your grind way better?

As far as the track renew bug is concerned, we’ll compensate those who’ve faced it and have posted about the issue previously.

And for the tracks - you’ll get them soon.

I like this event "style". I like any method that forces you to change your tactics. My favorites will be the "find the hidden item", except when it's in places that are invisible to the eye (see my pics/vids from the last one, where you basically just had to fall in every hole and hope you got it).

The problem is always the "grind" involved. Normal players should always have the ability to plausibly finish an event. Period; Full stop. Diamonds should allow for players to finish it quicker and easier (such as start with +X hearts, 50% off losses, etc). And purchased items should be even easier to allow half gameplay. You're doing that now, but at such extreme high levels that even with diamonds a player may not be able to finish. Even purchasing an outfit won't guarantee finishing. Grinding is fine, it's good, it can sometimes push you to get new times (like the ghost rider events). As long as it remains realistic. Otherwise people are going to start an event angry and just build resentment from there.

Like LightningRurik, I like the "find the hidden item" quests, followed closely by the "gotta hit these hard-to-reach objects we've placed on your track without crashing". Those things require skill/observation. But the "ride in an unnatural way just to pick up thousands of sticks/hearts, etc over a month" events are agonizing, IMO.

Some proof that most of the community agrees and isnt willing to "play" this event the way RL wants:

Its 40100 hearts to get the all map pieces for 5 tracks.
Top 5% gets you a track.
Less than 15000 points will cause you to not get ANY peices for the last 2 tracks.

78K IOS players in this event.

328 people have 40100 or above 9all map peices)
1% have 24656 hearts or above
    2% have 16700 or above
3% have approx 13900 or above
4% have approx 12300 or above
5% have approx 10800 or above

In other words.... only the top 1% of players was even willing to TRY to reach 40100m and plenty wont make it. The goal is too far/painful. 2% were willing to cut their losses as soon as they thought they had a map piece for each track and would rather spend gems for the rest later than grind further. The 3% and below are just pissed at the event at this point. Having only 1/4 of the total needed points for a fully successful event is enough to be in the TOP FIVE PERCENT of players. 95% of the player base didnt even seriously participate.... what does it say about an event where 95% of folks dont even wanna bother?

That... is a badly designed event.

xitooner, thank you for the event summary, I think this will be very useful for RL moving forward.

Agree. This event was impossible to win with skill or dedication alone. Though poorly executed, I liked the concept...I'm glad they're trying different things. And if you look at previous events, RL does listen to our feedback, so I bet the next event will be much better.

On the bright side: getting into the top 5% was pretty easy.

I like most people have no issue with the event type itself.

    2 problems for me:

    1) Target way to high, like everyone is saying it requires gems to reach! No amount of dedication will get you there. I have been buying 2 or 3 of the boosters each day (dont awlays get speed- dating)

    2) I don't believe the gentle touch power-up does what it says which I find misleading. I'm certain its way more than 50% reduction. (Or maybe reduces the threshold by 50%) not sure but if anyone has looked at the code and knows I would be interested to know.

But yeah Number 1 is the big problem here

EDIT 3) I remembered the refresh bug, fix it, not the first event its happened so stop just ignoring bugs and compensating later. Fix it.

Worst event in my 3 years of playing.

This event has nearly made my uninstall the game. This event shows that the only way to score is to spend gems. I've spent enough money on this game and I'm less inclined with the recent BS tracks that have been released and these BS events. 0 effort is given to this game, so I feel no reason to put anymore money into it. Unlocked tracks are trash, events are garbage and the last 2 bikes that have been released are game-breakers.

I like the events to find hidden objects in the maps, this "play everything slow" to still end up being screwed is a waste of my time. The only way to score high on this current event is to spend copious amounts of money which is ****ing stupid. I shouldn't be paying money just to finish an in game event and to be rewarded with ******** maps. You guys are really reaching here and I'm done supporting this game in a monetary state until you bring things back to the basics of a well-balanced fun-for-all Trials experience.
