    (Request) remove tethering

I noticed this in a previous thread but figured it was important enough to have its own title and post.

Ubisoft, please remove the player tethering function in co-op. I'm sure there is a logical reason why it is in there (such as limited resource loading), however it would be an immersion breaking mechanic that runs at a detriment to the game.

If it must remain, please extend the limitation to at least 2-3 km. This will allow played to experience the large scale invironment as intended, and establish flanking approaches, overwatch, and even air support

I'm really hoping the tethering isn't as limited as some reports I have heard. FC has always been a solo affair with me but I have a couple of friends that are interested in playing FC5 in co-op this time around.

Well it is not so restrictive but i guess it depends on the type of approach you want to take onto an enemy base. You may or may not be able to take a good look from afar with an helicopter while your friend is on the opposite side, You can have a rough idea on the distance https://youtu.be/Ulur8Xk931Y?t=13m7s

Thanks for that. I've been trying to avoid videos to help keep from spoiling more of the game for me but that was straight and to the point.

Doesn't look too bad but yeah, I guess it depends on what you;re trying to do. Would much rather not have it to be honest but there's not much that can be done about it. I can see trying to fly and having a partner on the ground could be a problem. .....although I recall them saying in one of the earlier videos that there was enough space to do so. I just don't see it being too feasible.

It appears (to me) that basically you'll want to travel together (i.e., not all that far apart) to the object, then split (to take an object as an example) if that's the desire. That way there shouldn't be a tethering issue.

This seems like something that could be patched out (and should be). It's worse than the system 4 had. I would prefer teleport over health damage.

Yeah, that's kind of weird. Not a huge deal though since they have full regen in this game... it'd be one thing if they still had the superior bracketed health bar, as it is all it'll take is to close the gap a bit with your partner & you'll be back to full health in 2 shakes of a lamb's tail...
