Just don't be toxic or an a-hole, it's that bloody simple. It's a game, not a bar fight

Having an "offensive" name is not even close to being as toxic as all the douchbag teamkillers that ruin this game, yet hardly anything is being done about that but Oh No, let's waste time and energy and money on idiots.

Personally i never really bothered with players who use weird names, unless it's really hateful, but even then a name like the example shown in this thread could just be a "joke" from someone with that particular ethnic background

You realize it's because of "this generation's" parents....right? All the memes about the "let me talk to the manager" haircuts...that's not about kids, it's about their parents. So the entitled kids who speak out so much, you're looking at what...those parents most likely between their late 30's and early 50's i.e. Generation X having raised them and taught them. The world took a huge turn in that generation, and now the country is dealing with Gen X's spawns of Millenials who are ALSO having kids, and the parent and grandparent are now raising Gen Zs.

So i think you would rather be saying, "I am sick of this snowflake society" because it is not even close to limiting to one generation.

Its very much not this simple. Banter between friends? Playful cursing, or just saying "F*CK" when you screw up? Nothing toxic about that, but now, bannable. Also, I can replace the F word with UBI and there is nothing they can do about it, what, ban the word Ubisoft? Ban someone for using their company as a slur? Good luck...

Honestly, this update can go ubi itself. And I don't even use chat in siege.

How can you be sure that somebody is being malicious though?

Like their name is kyke for example. It sounds like a slur for a jewish person, but maybe that person pronounces their name Ki-Key and it has ntohing to do with the slur.

I can see a lot of false positives occuring if you are banning alternate spellings

I think its funny how all the toxic people are coming out in droves to complain on the forums about the new policy.

Let them keep draining their bank account, keep getting reported, banned, and repeat. Are you going to be mad at Ubisoft because they are not able to prevent a person from buying the game? To get a new account, it's an annoying timely process and costs money. Let people waste both.
Don't get me wrong, I think this is good for the community, those idiots will empty their wallets and keep supporting the game for us without cheating or disrupting the game. While ubisoft keeps making money, they'll keep making content for us and since I'm not a person that spends on micro-transactions I like the idea to get the racist money to keep the game afloat.

If you read this post you would know that profanity doesnt count. Theyre looking for toxic behavior not someone yelling the F word when they die.
