This is more so a peeve of mine, and I consider it lazy that each tactical shooter since Siege has this problem. I saw Iceycat's quick preview of Far Cry 5, and I saw the first **** up of the game in the first 14 seconds. The AR-15 based weapon reload animation uses the charging handle. Again. Just like FC3, FC4, Siege, and Wildlands. This was tolerable back on the PS3/360 era of your games, Ubisoft, but it's getting a little ******ed now. Have any of you had experience with an AR-15/M16 rifle? Do you know how the weapon works? There's a button right above the mag well, on the right side of the lower receiver, that is called the "bolt catch release button". When the last round is fired from the rifle, the bolt automatically locks back to the rear, then you put a new mag in, and push the button right above it, and it releases the bolt and chambers a new round. EVERY weapon system based on the M16 does this. Several other weapons do this, like the SG 552 Commando (STG-90) that was in FC3 and 4, which you clearly knew had one and made it part of the reload animation. So what's the deal with the ARs? Let me guess, and Kalashnikov that has been added has a mirrored ejection port again, right?
Rule of cool.
Pulling the charging handle looks far cooler than merely pressing a button on the side of a gun, so does seeing the whole gun operate in case of mirrored AK.
