    How to rebalance the shaman without breaking her

    Here is what Ubisoft needs to do to make shaman no longer a op power house but not make her unplayable either.

    First: Reduce the distance of the predators jump to be the same distance as a shield bash from dodge.

    Second: If a predators misses shaman should take damage. About 30-60 I think. She will still be able to jump again after she misses. Just add an animation of her face planting or accidentally stabbing her self or landing on top of her axe.

    Third: No more guaranteed wild cats rages after a throw unless the opponent has been wall splat. This can be done by making it 700-800 milliseconds. I mention this because no one should get a guaranteed heavy after this unless the opponent has been wall splat.

    Fourth: Slow her 300 milliseconds light attacks to 400 milliseconds

    Fifth: Bring her mountain lions power attack damage down to 32 from the 40 that it is.

    Sixth: Either get rid of heal after bleed attack or get rid of heal on predators mercy

    If you atleast do 1-5 I think most of the community my self included will be satisfied enough with what has been done to finally call her balanced. The 6th is option because canibalism is kinda her thing. But I mean she isn’t the only character that heals just the only assassin. But if you do 1-5 then that won’t be as big of a deal.

    1st) uh no? She'll just be light or GBed whenever she attempts to do her pounce.

    2nd) No. Goki takes damage on a miss with DE because his can recover far more health and will OHK anyone if goki has critical health.

    3rd) You do realize that her wildcats rage heavy does less damage than a heavy from neutral right? it's not even good damage. it's average.

    4th) She doesn't have a 300ms light. her lights are 500ms. Her top bleed cancel is 400ms. that's her fastest attack.

    5th) I don't see why. It can only come from left, is slow as heck. (like 800ms or 700ms) and can only come after an attack.

    6th) Or we can just nerf how much health she gets back on bite and call it a day?

    IMO aside from 3 bug fixes the only changes i'd want to make are bite can only be attempted twice per bleed proc. if she whiffs a bite she can press heavy to do a wildcats rage instead. If she misses that too there is more recovery on the end of the attack. resulting in being even easier to punish.

    It's her leap attacks (from top and side) that give me grief. Why, because they are usually her opener. Such safe openers really give her the forward momentum imo. Unless there's better ways to counter that I'm not aware of.

    To OP,

    All the points you have mentioned are nerfs to her and you're saying that you're not trying to break her ? she's a close range fast attacker and you're slowing most of her attacks down, what advantage she will have after your suggestions ?

    She will still be one of the fastest attacker’s in the game.
    She will still be the only assasin that’s able to heal.
    She will still be able to have intense mix ups.
    She still has her unblockable and all her cancels into bleed.
    I would be willing to do 30 damage on missed jumps but there is no risk for her right now and if you dodge she can just pounce again.

    She retain those abilities on paper but you're reducing their effectiveness to almost nothing with all those nerfs. Her bleed requires point blank range where she's always at the risk of GB or throw, it's not like Nobushi who get safe bleeds all day, Shaman's damage is average at best so she still need to work hard despite being fast and you're reducing both her damage and speed in your suggested nerfs, she can heal yes but her normal attack heals are extremely small except Predator's Mercy which is hard to setup but yes I agree that is strong.

    Also the fact that you're ignoring Knight_Raime's post show that your suggested nerfs are exaggerated and will just make the character unplayable, he also suggested some nerfs but they are far more logical than yours.

    If she needs any nerfs that dont break her.

    No more guaranteed bash/bite after throw

    Reduce throw distance

    Make it so bite consumes half her stamina so she only gets one extra chance if she misses and possibly nerf the damage a little bit, to 40? though I think shed be pretty fine without nerfing her damage.

    Dear God. 1 y has passed and for nothing.
    Dude. Trust me when i say i hate shaman more than you. Simpli because when she arrived alongside aramusha (and after warden aramusha is my fav hero), ara was suposed to be the feinth expert in chains. Meentime we ended up having aramusha, a faintable hero, but stupid because he is predictable as F, and shaman that beside the fact that had the most empowered traits of the most powerfull heroes (did a post about this a whyle ago) she ended up beeing a way way better feinter than even aramusha. Whos whole gameplay revolves around that.
    To get to the point. No matter how much i hate shaman, what you asked is a complete nerf. If they were to pick something from this ideea it should be only 1 or 2 things. And a hell no to the second point. Im against self damage no matter the situation.
    Her problems were (dont know if it still is)
    Super fast attacks
    Imense damage
    High healling.

    What would bring her down a little would be
    On her second predator mercy pounce whatever, if the player decides to go for it and misses the second chance, a dizzy or blind effect or full stamina consumed (because from what i know stamina is regained if it lands)
    And tone down the speed of the bleeding attack that comes as a cancel form. Thats it. Just these 2

    I get the fact that devs wanted as staded sometime ago, shaman to be the character that embodyes everyone elses strongest traits, but these 2 are the ones whit the most problems.
    As for the grab pounce, i was against this two. But since gb is not confirmed anymore, shame on tou if it lands.

    To be honest I try to use Predator's Mercy once per opponent and sometimes don't even get chance to do it once because I find it difficult and risky to setup, maybe there are some players who spam that but I rely more on Wild Cat's Swiftness and Wild Cat's Rage with occasional Feints, GBs and bleed follow ups, I've been successful in some situations but there are certain match ups that I find quite difficult, for example aramusha because I still face hard time reacting to his light spams and Shugoki because most of his attacks are uninterruptible and do whole bunch of damage.

    So I don't really mind if they increase stamina cost on Predator's Mercy or make you go dizzy on spam but other nerfs will make her too handicapped specially against the characters I mentioned above or characters with long range.

    What about idea:

    1. Set her bite damage equal to remain bleed + light atk damage and heal her to the same numbers.
    2. If her sucesfully bite anyone, refound her bite stamina cost, not refill whole bar.
    3. Nerf with bigger time delay her feint jumps and jump attacks

    After this, she will be pretty fine, she have everything, shes fast etc, but this 3 points up are bullpoo.
