"Hair o' the Dog" badge, solo?

I've been thinking about which mission is good (or even possible) to try to get the "Hair o' the Dog" badge solo, and was wondering if anyone has done it, or has any suggestions.

Specifically, you need to complete an Outbreak mission, Tier 5, Hard or higher, Severe or Critical modifier, without being contaminated. You don't HAVE to do it solo, but I thought it'd be fun to try...since this seems like one that would otherwise be easy to cheese in a group, by just hanging back out of harm's way.

I just tried doing Amherst's Apartment, and it all went great until I had to tie the bag onto the chopper, which spawns a wave of enemies, and you're stuck in the rope animation and can't get away before they infect you...so doing it solo there is basically impossible.

Subway Morgue seems like it might be the best bet...I failed at getting it there earlier when an axe rusher slipped past me after the part where you first have to carry the fuse box. Might have a go at that again.

Other choices are Hudson Refugee Camp, or Napalm Production Site. Anyone have any thoughts?

Yes did it today solo at Amherst using my tact loadout WT5, using a fire turret and seeker mines. Just stay well back and make sure there are no enemies when putting the package on from the door on the left, was pretty easy tbh.

Really? Hmm. I cleared out everyone before putting the package on, but it seemed like the act of hanging the bag triggered the next wave and they were too close to run from before getting contaminated. I dropped my seekers before tying the bag...maybe the flame turret is the key to CC'ing them and buying me enough time. Thanks for the tip!

Its all about the timing when putting the package on.

You can kill everything then put the package on. I used to farm Amherst for the weeklies and quite often putting the package on was the last thing I did.

I did it on Hudson refugee camp (hard/severe outbreak) using a sniper rifle , headshots for days the enemy was kept at a distance oh and fire turret for crowd control or stopping them getting close, (when you go to the last area boss fight I stayed up on the platform where you go into it behind mobile cover and picked the rest of with my sniper rifle.

That one popped for me on Napalm. I was using Nomad, Medved and Showstopper, farming shotgun headshots.
I have no Idea how I got it, I was even dying on purpose to get more waves of NPCs.

Ok, stupid question...how do you actually do that? Doesn't putting the bag on the rope trigger a wave of enemies?

I always hang out on the roof overlooking everything, and snipe everyone from up there, no problem. But I always get to a point (usually with about 4:30 left) where no more enemies are coming, and the chopper's just hovering there waiting for me.

*edit* Ahhh ok, so it's not the actual action of putting the bag on the rope that triggers that last wave, it's just getting within a certain proximity of it. I did it just now, and crept in slowly, then turned around and immediately bolted once any red showed up on my radar.

Worked great, except that I had been contaminated earlier in the mission by a random rusher that made it up onto the roof with me. :\ Let's try this YET AGAIN...lol

*edit #2* ...aaaand, finally got the badge. Thanks for the help, guys!
