Yesterday while playing Dominion I got revived playing as Lawbringer and noticed how bloody he looked. It looked really good with his black armour and made it seem like he was actually in a battle. It got me and my friend talking about how nice it would be if we had a choice to make our armour look like that all the time, and it was customisable to our liking. We then expanded on it and said we hope the design team not releasing new armours this season (I dont count the TYM armour, they are basically more reskins in my eyes) that next season we should get new original armour sets and different armour colours such as white, dark blue, so on. Do you guys reckon that armours that could be customisable should be in the game, and share any screen shots of your bloodied hero's or just what your heroes look like.

I would love more worn looking armor. As a Nobushi main it's cool to see my character with a huge crack across the mask after a fight, it makes the character feel more visceral and real, not to mention how there's the huge gashes across the chest/back from getting hit. Having things like chipped weapons, stitched up (or soldered up for knights) armor would be a huge plus to me.
I've been playing Nobushi since beta, she's taken a bit of a beating since then, no doubt other people have similar feelings about their characters. The Nobushi are a peasant militia, not the emperor's daughters, they shouldn't be decked out in gold trims and with gold weapons.
It would be nice if they tied it into reps. As you rep a hero you unlock armor schemes, it would be better if the armor looked more used. If you saw a rep 40 hero it would look like he went thru a lot battles, which is what the grind takes. Now there is no difference in rep 3 hero and rep 40 hero visually. Only way to get that used look is rep out a hero. Making a reason to continue using heros past 9.
I think that would be a great option. Would’ve made it harder to get away from my Berserker tho! I’m still being drawn back to him after feeling like I’m terrible with other heros lolOriginally Posted by Okita_Soji.. Go to original post
I remember when was playing swtor and when you start you look terrible. As I ran around and leveled up I got better looking gear. You would see someone riding a rancor or decked out and you could tell they were a high level before even highlighting them. That's what this game could use. Sure your a rep 40 LB but you look just like a rep 2. You can buy the outfits or head gear. My Aramusha is now rep 9 and looks just like he did when I started. I use the same looking hat and robes. It would be nice if the look evolved with the rep level, besides different colored and more powerful gear.
I want the opposite for viking heroes, all their armor is faded and worn looking, You change the color of leather and there's tons of patches where its still the default color.
If I pick black or white, I want black or white leather, not leather that looks like I put a coat of paint on and its starting to chip off.
I was meant to reply to this on the weekend but life got the better off me and was unable too. Finally got some free time again yay
Exactly right on the looks. The other day I was playing with friends in the Test Your Metal playlist, and we all went Lawbringer and we all basically had the same armour pieces on despite been a variety of different reps. The only way to tell us apart was our colour schemes and patterns. It did leave a bad taste in my mouth been the highest rep there, but nothing to really tell me apart from the guys 30 reps below me.Originally Posted by Okita_Soji.. Go to original post
Vikings and Samurai really did cop the short end of the stick. Knights armour makes customisation so much easier and much more noticeable. Take the emborssings for example. I can't think of anytime ive noticed one on a Samurai or Viking, but they are fairly clear on most parts of the Knight's armor.Originally Posted by The_B0G_ Go to original post
Totally agree, the arm pieces of stick out pretty good for embossing on vikings but that's pretty much it, and only if you leave patterns and colors off, you can't see chest embossing at all though.Originally Posted by ChampionRuby50g Go to original post
Samurai may as well not even have embossing, you can't see them at all, anywhere.
