farcrychildren Unsure if you read this interview Far Cry The Personality Of A Cult there is also a video about a guy who studies Cults that Ubisoft worked with for information.

I will be playing through the Campaign as soon as it releases so if you want to wait I would tell you if there is anything that might cause you alarm reference your religion but in all honesty I really believe that whatever the wrongs are with Joseph Seed things will be put right although there are apparently different endings.

You know what Farcrychildren? I'm going to try and help you out one more time.

Here's a link to a thread Vira made about the live action short film Ui is making for FC5 that will be available on Amazon Prime video:

    https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...o-Amazon-Prime

If you are a subscriber to Amazon Prime, I would strongly suggest you watch this short film when it becomes available on 3/5. You can probably find it on YouTube or elsewhere after that date if you are not.

Ubi did this for their other games like the Division and GRW. Those other ones were actually quite good and gave you a look into the story of the game. The reason I'm suggesting you watch the one for FC5 is that you might find it helpful in your decision to buy the game. ....or not buy it. For the Division and GRW, those short films really helped give you a flavor for the game.

This Far Cry 5 looks very very interesting, and fun... and we finally get a game in the USA. There's only 1 problem...

I happen to be a Christian. Am I a perfect Christian? NO. Do I believe in God and that Jesus Christ is my savior and that he died on the cross so we can be here today and live? YES

So to Far Cry 5. The game looks interesting, looks amazing, looks like something I'd enjoy. But I have my issues. Part of me sees it as them making fun of Christianity overall and mocking God... and just conservatives.

I'm not trying to start a fight or a flame thread here. These are all serious thoughts by me. So part of me sees this game as a middle finger to Christians in their own twisted sort of way.

Then... MOST of me sees this as a fun video game with some religious angles. As there's been several people over decades that have taken the bible and twisted it around to their own bidding. Has it been confirmed the book with the weird symbol is a "bible" yet?

I could probably explain myself better, but I think you guys get the point of my post here. I'm a conservative Christian that is hesitant to play this game because it might be mocking the very values I believe in.

I'm not one of those insane people that beats people for their beliefs or starves people or whatever lol. I'm a normal, Christian. I cuss sometimes. I sin. I fall short, but I do very much believe and pray everyday.

I really want to play this as it is so compelling to me. It won't change my beliefs, it just looks like a lot of fun. I don't know I hope this came across the right way.

Anyone else feel the same way? I'm expecting a lot of "don't like it... don't buy it" posts and "get over it"...

the typical liberal stuff. I'm looking for insight and other people's thoughts. 70% of me wants to buy this and play it for what it is... which is a super interesting game. It seems like Josepth has taken the "bible" I guess to extreme interpretation and is doing wrong by it. And I don't think Ubisoft is targeting Christians really. But maybe they are?

I do know thing... if this game had anything about muslims in it... people would flip....
I do not understand your thinking at all anyway the enemies are cults not christians also If anyone does not believe me ask Ubisoft.
