Ok guys this person is just here for trolling and doesn't answer any of the questions. Next!Originally Posted by farcrychildren Go to original post

I meant it is going not as I intended it... but as I thought it might.
Typo.
In my original post, I talked about both sides. About how I think MOST of me think its a good game that isn't targeting anyone, but that got ignored and you guys zero'd in on my 30% that might think it could offend me.
And I even got the "don't buy it" talk from someone already too. Which I knew was coming.
Overall it seems that its just a game, and isn't targeting anything. I just wanted to know what others thought about it, instead I received multiple comments that are off topic.
Facts? About what? It's clear that my concern is valid. I'm a fan of the far cry series. I like this game. I'm just trying to see what others think about it.
Am I the only 1 in the world that is slightly uncomfortable with the angle/contend of the story?
I doubt that.
But we're not in your head so (for the third time) try to explain to the best of your faculties what is offensive in Far Cry 5 and why.Originally Posted by farcrychildren Go to original post

And please trust me... your post count doesn't give you any more validity than it does me.
-On the GOLD edition, the dude is enlightened in a glowing light as Jesus has been depicted over decades.
-The cover art is very much a mockery of the last supper. Or resembles it
-Joseph was the father of Jesus Christ
-Montana is a conservative state that has voted republican for years and years and years
-Montana people love their guns especially
-The game clearly depicts a cult that tote guns and kill people as they press their beliefs onto others
-The hang people in a crucifix position in game art and in game
-Jesus was hung on a cross and died for our sins.
-Christians are consistently made fun of and looked at as people that people in a old book (someone even posted about church being made up in this thread)
-It could be argued that the game shows basically hardcore Christians that are taking some things literal from the bible and killing them
I mean this is what I could come up with off the top of my head. It is borderline offensive to me. But I want to like it. Which is why I wanted other people's thoughts instead of being chastised for being a troll and going with my "feelings"... which is trash.
I don't agree with all my highlighted things above, because some of them are just "video game" stuff for fun... but some of them you can't argue with...
and the only troll here might be you... with you post count... totally tossing away my thread because I'm new here.
The game looks great, I think I'll love it, and I "think" that is wouldn't be anything that would bother me too much or offend me to the point of not getting it, but it is a concern and something I thought could be interesting to discuss.

OK, this is Kaide 2.0 confirmed, haha, didn't take long...Originally Posted by farcrychildren Go to original post
Why don't you buy the book and read it because that will fill you in on the story leading up to the events when the game starts Amazon - Far Cry Absolution
I am a Christian I got married in church am I offended by this game no.
My view is that Joseph seed is lost, he believes what he is doing is correct - I think the story will come good in the end, you just have to watch the videos and think how Far Cry games work in that you liberate areas and free people so I imagine the end will restore faith.
I actually think all those complaining will have egg on face and will eat humble pie after playing the game but I might be wrong maybe he blows the place sky high - I am eager to find out when I play through the campaign, if you liked Far Cry 3 then you should love this, it's a video game certificate 18 Far Cry likes to shock and awe so it is what it is.
I see the real issue that some try to make it something it isn't without even playing it or seeing it (and yes I know it isn't out but there have been areas where demos were available)
For reading purposes we'll tackle one at the time.
As an author you try to portrait the villain with a simple yet explanatory vignette; Joseph Seed made a cult by interpreting the Bible.Originally Posted by farcrychildren Go to original post
Is that clear enough?
I assume this is referencing the handle of an earlier poster, correct?Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
Yeah.... He basically just wanted to rile up the atheists, Christians and everyone in between. It just turned into a toxic, offensive free for all which I can tell this thread is heading toward.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
