i understand why they are in the game but players should not be able to completely rely on them for kills its a bit too much in my opinion and the throw distance for alot of people in the game seems a bit way to far if they can throw you off the map from almost anywhere for example shaman raider and ledge lord i dont think it should be taken out just less relied on for a fighting game please give your opinions
Be more mindful of your surroundings and this will happen less.Originally Posted by masen9999 Go to original post
I like the hazards as a concept but a bunch of the maps tend to be overpopulated with them. Viable real estate dwindles when three out four walls contain some sort of hazard...or is just a cliff.
More open spaces with large columns to splat fools on. Please and thank you.
The thing is that some characters have an easy way to get environmental kill due to their throw distance. When you are fighting an opponent and suddenly a warlord guard breaks you from behind and pushes you half a map away, being mindful of immediate surroundings doesn't help much.Originally Posted by alustar24 Go to original post
In 1v1s this is not that much of a problem, but in 1vX this might be very frustrating. One scene sticks in my memory. I was fighting 1v3 on Ruined Tower, the area where Attackers have their base in Tribute, the large open area below the stairs. This was an Elimination mode. We were fighting somewhere in the middle of the area, closer to the stairs. I killed two of them, last enemy remaining. It was a Warlord. He GB me and pushes aaaaaaall the way to the gap and throws me down. Then proceeds to revive the two enemies I had killed. I needed to quit playing so I could calm down a bit.
The biggest issue I see is that the range of throws varies too much for the characters. Some have a push of an inch or less, and they even jump away so if you somehow manage to wall splat, you can't even get much from it (Orochi). Other's can carry you half across the map and drain your entire stamina by doing that (Raider). The worst about this is Shaman, who has insane throw range and she can even headbutt you for even more range. Which is weird since she is an Assassin, just as Orochi or PK, who have very short throw distance. Some characters have a very easy way of ledging people (especially in teamfights), while for others, ledging is almost impossible.

Pay attention... it’s that simple.
I love this feature, and it’s foolish to think it’s unfair in any way. It adds a whole different dynamic when you’re in certain areas!
It's like you people have never played tekken, virtual fighter, soul calibur, mortal kombat, or any other fighting game because ring outs and environmental hazards are and have always been a thing.
Hell super smash bros is a game built ENTIRELY around ring outs and environmental kills.
If there is this much problem with this, I don't know what else to say, because I, for the life of me, don't know a game that doesn't have environmental hazards.
Pac man, maybe?
Pong.. No, that's the point there.. Hmm....
Nope, that's it. Pac man.
Stop fighting where ledges are, then. I cannot count the times I've seen my team single file into a zone, knowing a pair of ledgers are camping it. Yet here they go, single file into the zone and every time is the same story. At a certain point the problem is not the static environment(that never changes) it's the player exhibiting crippling levels of idiocy or insanity as they continually repay the same maneuver expecting a different result. It's like watching the coyote try yet ANOTHER Acme rocket knowing full well how the last 4000 worked. After that you just laugh and say, "silly coyote. He'll never learn."Originally Posted by Kamen42 Go to original post
