This used to be my primary class.
Although I felt the drone was a bit OP, the latest patch nerfed it more than it was needed.
Not only medic drones can get easily shot down by technically any gun... but they become visible right away always giving enemy enough time to shoot them down.
The usefulness of this class is now questioned, compared to the sentinel, sniper, scout, diversionist and assault classes, who have much better advantages.
In my opinion, a buff is needed, and there are multiple possibilities (a combination of two of these would work):
1. Increase drone deployment delay from one second to 3 seconds.
2. Give the class a better weapon like the scout, or buff its existing weapons;
3. Give it fast hands for revives as another special ability.
4.Increase the HP of the drone.
Medic in my opinion is the most balanced its ever been. This is a team game and the changes to medic now encourage you to start playing that way. You should be very close to the main group in your team and not splinter away hiding in some building miles away, that was probably never the intention of the devs in the first place. The medic already has a great gun (pp19) but i agree with it coming with fast hands as standard,it is a medic after all
honestly i just want the medic to have an ability true to its description
the ability to revive from any position. i know its asking for a lot but id like to see the medic be able to crawl up to someone, and revive them from the prone position. great, especially if a sniper is using a corpse as a honeypot. not to mention an innate fast revive ability
I know Ubisoft mentioned somewhere on reddit that they're working on smoke grenades. The medic definitely needs to have those.
Issue with the 1 second delay, is that even when you're only 50m away from the downed players, your drone can be easily shot down. It just makes medic one of the most useless classes at the moment.
You will have to play medic for some rounds to see for yourself.
I would rather have the medic class be revamped with new better abilities (like for example being able to apply treatment to fully heal a teammate when health is less than 100%), than stay with this useless drone, and become a class that people won't want to play anymore.
Well you are now assuming that the medic should be able to revive ANYONE regardless of how/where they died. If a maniac on your team dies in the open where manual revival is not a choice and its has open air space to deny drones easily, then perhaps this will serve as a lesson to the dead guy to not make such brass plays. I believe that dying in a good spot is a legit skill. If you go into what i would call the "deadzone" and die, why should you expect to get a free pass and get revived easily? It might seem like a silly thing to say but there really is a skill to dying properly in this game! Die in relative cover when you cant be seen from all 4 enemies at the same time. And even if hes is dead in a **** spot then perhaps you should focus on killing those that can stop his revival before you try a revive. Medic does have a gun too you know![]()
Medic is great as it is now. The reward of revive a player is too high, the risk must follow it. Better weapon? The PP19 is one of the 3 best weapons in the game IMO. 64 bullets in the clip, low recoil, awesome precision, good scope. Please don't mess with it. It's pretty well balanced.

Top 3 lol. You make it seem like the PP19 is an assault. I would say its Top 3 in the SMG category or even Support class. I wouldn't say top 3 overall. All support guns are trash when it comes to Assaults and Marksman except Diversionist. The Scout is ok stating specifically MPX and MDR. If the MP7 had more damage even a tiny inch it would be a beast. Artillery is the worst class in support and ability. Medic PP19 was suitable but not instant kill. I myself use the MPX and I have to do extra stuff to kill marksman and predator to actually down them rather than just generally shoot like the assault guns can do. So the medic does need some improvement. I say the OP #4 will be best. Give the drone some more health and it will become balance. Or secondary #2 give it better weapons or weapon buff.Originally Posted by Cloromotta Go to original post
