The only thing that needs to happen to thermal is to reduce the range, think about the predator thermal in single player, it's a far better thermal but only up close, you really can't make out shapes or not spots really well at a distance and that's how thermal needs to work in ghost war, hell give it back to certain operators too as long as it's reduce to like 65m of effectiveness tops or whatever the distance is for predator vision mode now and even then very fuzzy until your closer. And when your doing that change make our predator masks work so we can use the predator thermal in PvP as a reward just like predator blades.

Remove it from the diversionist, it is not an intel gathering drone, its just a noisemaker that is now being exploited with thermal as a hidden drone that can hidden spot players. The noise maker part is not being used anymore, just a hidden drone with thermal being used to ping spam players.

IMO I think the thermals on drones are pretty well balanced, if you choose not to run a support class with thermals knowing it's raining, 2200hrs and on ruins (or most other night maps with vegetation) when it's a high probability the opposing team will be, than that is just simply a poor choice not to have utilised the ability yourselves. And i'm not saying anyone should feel like they 'have' to use the classes either but the classes have been carefully crafted to counteract each-other where practical, in a tactical approach, its how the game was designed. From someone who runs support a lot, yeah its great if you know how to use thermal or have a team that knows you're using it in a mark and move fashion, but it is easily just as useless if you have a team that has no idea how to coordinate with a scouting player. The time in the air with thermals is significantly reduced, giving you a rather small window to mark non-moving players with thermal, mark them too early with no line of sight from any other player and guess what, the mark is removed making them just as hard to track down as it would be without a thermal drone around. Ping a player as a diversionist and if there's no-one in the vicinity, your drone has fallen out of the sky, they've moved on and you're also back to basics. If anything I would probably like a little more attention be given to the tech class, so those who honestly detest drones have a better counter, the cooldown/timer on the jammer is way to slow to make it a full game contributing class. Techs barely scratch the surface of a scout with the drone pilot perk equipped (thermal aside here), you can re-scout in less than half the time before the tech has an opportunity to place another jammer (but with out going off topic i'll end it there). All in all, i think thermal adds another dynamic to the game that can go either way for either side, just as snipers can shoot thru concrete walls with zero penetration issues or the pointmans magical bubble of non-suppression...the more your remove the far less interesting the game is going to remain.

Originally any class could pick thermals and use them to walk around in. Even if they wanted to take this from being available for all classes, which they shouldn't, concerns of fairness and op is just really crybaby type stuff, and people that are to up tight for a game like ghost recon, ghost wars, it should still be available for at least full fuction for support if not assault. It was fair to begin with, and nothing is op. That like complaining the camo outfits are op because you can't see some in the bush ,well that why that perk was available in the first place for anyone ,not just on a drone. Severe wounds only counter is a medical drone doesn't take longer to heal. Full bags give you more items like mine and grenades which to some of us are priceless. athletic sprinter is a good choice or perk, or quick hands. How about fighting spirit, or quick getaway. Quick hands is useful. Really just so many useful perks, and while some player were skillfully using thermals to find those hidden in bushes and some snipers were hitting target from across the map when those being shot hardly had a real chance, that's what warfare is about. Easy isn't fun, not for a ghost recon game. If that's what people want, maybe I'm just crazy. Thermals is suppose to be one of things that makes this game above the rest. Devs listen to trolls, or being 'powned' themselves that has led to over edited and detoured what this game is actually suppose to be the most real hard p-v-p ever released. What about war is fair. Team work, stradegy, are all important parts, and cool gear ,like drones, the revive, no respawn, the night vision and originally thermal, the awesome weopon selection and customization ,and the camo where people can be ghost, is the type of stuff that is suppose to set this game apart from the rest and make it epic, and unique. I really hope they bring them back like they did the snipers mines for instance(they took for a month because supposedly over powered(op) the reduction of assault classes health is another. Take a look at my rant on my forum tread. Cheers, and just know they lost alot of player right when they started changing stuff like that, and didn't gain near as many players for making the changes and taking away something many of us loved. We sort of felt like the predator, before the content release that gave us the predator fight and gear.

Im not saying it SHOULD be removed, im just trying to get a feel for how everyone feels about it.
This guy plays pathfinder lol jokes man jokes..

Seriously though I dont think some people understand the severity of taking thermal completely out of the game. If that were to happen I would never find the campfinder. Especialy on burnt out..

I have had 4 v 1 pathfinder on that map and no matter what we could not find him for the life of us, he was hidden really well, and because it was sunny in the game even with thermal it was still very difficult to find this fella. So I do not think that thermal is OP on drones, but believe me I do hate when I am going against a diversionist with thermal, however I still think it adds an equal balance to the game.

No thank you. Sorry man I have to disagree, I still use the noise maker to force campers out of bushes and I would never see said campers if i didnt have thermal. This game is supposed to be slow paced, but it is not supposed to draw round after round because people camp.

Need to have that ability to force them out of the bush they are hiding in
