i sold far cry 3 when i sell my old playstation is not good to assume most players still have the game and it was on different console so many players will not still have the game also this classec edition has improved graphix to original release and it is included in season pass at no extra charge so is no harm i feel is not desperation and is opposite of greed to include it in season pass as a generous bonus
The details I have seen so far is that the FC3 Classic Edition is merely a port (a re-release) to the latest gen consoles and not an enhanced version of the game like you would expect from a remastered version.
As for being "free", it's all relative considering that you will still need to purchase the Season Pass to obtain it, or buy it on its own when available. It's also not a desperate move but simply just another way to get more consumers interested in buying the SP.
Boils down to the bottom line and Ubi wouldn't spend the time, money or resources to port FC3 over and include it in the SP if they didn't think it would make them more money than it cost to do it. That's not to say I find anything wrong with that (and neither would their investors).
Well, my focus is on the PC gamer but you gotta point there when selling the console including that game. However, this is not exactly a reason to buy FC3 again ... just for better graphics?.. and NO it's not free but included in the season pass hence you do pay for it.Originally Posted by Gr4nt8r0dy Go to original post
However, we will see how this idea fares in terms of boosting sales![]()
i never say it was free only say it is in season pass at no extra charge by meaning the season pass does not cost more than not having but maybe if far cry 3 not included season pass would be less money i do not no but to me classic edition seems as a nice bonus for season pass in edition to the new dlc for it on pc if you already own it then yes it is less exciteOriginally Posted by Butcherbird59 Go to original post
Was it an act of desperation when Last of Us released a remaster, or bioshock, halo, GTA V all released remasters on next gen consoles. Are you new to games? As for the point, Umm Idk, maybe for new Far Cry players to rexperience an almost 10 year old game they may have not played. Could have something to do with that.what's the point giving people FC3 again when most FC gamers have it already?
..act of desperation?
So the game is a lazy and greedy because you can't have it now but wouldn't be if you could? Like another user said. That's about the only greedy thing i'm seeing. To port over and graphically enhance FC3 for newer players and even have the decency to include it for free with season pass is a extremely non selfish thing to do if anything. It takes a lot of time, work and is a nice addition to 5.i thought FC3 Classic was to give us something to do until FC5 was released, why would i care about getting a remastered version of an older game as part of a season pass later on
That just seems lazy and greedy when it seems like resources could be put towards giving us something new for buying the season pass
Yeah, thats why Ubi hasn't used that terminology. For the console version, it's been enhanced and updated to look closer to high settings on pc whereas the original release was probably closer to the medium-low range.Originally Posted by Viragoxv535 Go to original post
If people are still confused it just means there are a lot of dumb dumbs out there because the FC3CE announcement trailer conveyed the release window as clear as can be expected. The idea that someone would accuse ubi of being lazy & greedy for including FC3CE in the season pass is one of the most entitled & whiny things I've ever heard.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
You know the console versions of these games outsell the PC version every time right? It's primarily for them, since there is no additional work being done for the pc version. Only reason they're throwing in a free pc copy is so pc players can't cry foul on console players getting more out of the season pass...Originally Posted by Butcherbird59 Go to original post

So are we looking at just res upgrades or are the textures being upgraded as well? I mean high settings on PC as seen in videos, or max settings would essentially be equal or better than current gen graphics. So that'd be pretty amazing if they pulled that off and I think it'd definitely warrant being called a remaster.

As seen here, those are some pretty nice graphics.
Was that really necessary?Originally Posted by GeorgeFarCry96 Go to original post
Did you even notice that the poster has a few more posts in the form then you have, for example?
I didn't catch that trailer but yeah, everything I've read had the information in there which I was able to pick up on myself. .....but unlike some, I made sure to read the full description. I'm not saying the OP or others in the same boat are faultless for not reading more carefully.Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
As for the lazy and greedy remarks, that's the OP's baggage.
