That all sounds great, the one thing in my opinion that he needs is a small nerf to his hyper armor. Once he is hit or is guard broken his armor comes off for a period of time.

Well if he keeps getting hit or guard broken while it's off the timer in which it returns to him should reset.

    That's exactly what does happen.

No, i've been in countless fights against shugoki and know his armor is about to come back so i get another gb and right after he counters it, it comes back. I've also been in mid combo after a direct hit only to have the armor come back and he gets a free gb on me.

He loses his hyper armour after a guardbreak whether he counters it or not.

He requires several seconds to recover the armour and any attack or guardbreak will rest this timer.

This is one of those things that needs to go, he should have it automatically regenerate regardless of attacks etc. Also if you counter guardbreak, it shouldn't lose you the hyper armour.

Finally if you fail to counter a guardbreak, it should do nothing beyond losing you the armour (assuming its up at the time).

    Feats

I was playing the Shigoki from Test Your Metal and had him get his armor back and then GB me while in the middle of a combo.
Anyway not the main reason for this post.

I saw mention of feats here and of course it's a big topic in other threads. I would just like to voice my thoughts/ideas for what I would like to happen to feats:

    My suggestions, nothing more.

    Changes:
1: No feat is a one hit kill.
2: All feats are passive. (Maybe even lower it to 3 total feats at a time)
3: Each hero has a special feat specific to them, and each class has a feat specific to it.

    Why:
1: One hit kills simply defeat the point of the games combat system. In 4v4 they give the leading team the ability to steamroll and gain an even bigger advantage without using the combat system.
2: 2 and 3 would actually play into each other. Passive feats would give your character slight buffs much as they do now, without breaking rules of the combat.
3: An example would be the shinobi's health regen on hit, Aramusha's rocksteady feat (which admittedly would make more sense on Shigoki alone). Each character specific feat would be the final tier to unlock durring a game, and would improve what your character is about to a small degree (Kensei's unlockable feat is not passive, and is stupid good, just an example of feats that would be removed). Class perks would be second, giving tanks (for example, I'm making this up as I go along)
a very small damage mitigation on the first hit when they receive damge and it would have a cool down. Assassins might get damage resistance to bleed, or a small damage boost on dodge attacks, or maybe a nerffed version of the smoke grenade . Vangaurd maybe unlock a feat that buffs teammates with increased stamina regen when in proximity, a one time boost per life with a short duration (honestly not sure what would classify vanguard class, just trying to think of something). As far as hybrid go... **** if I know, that's another thing. But the basic idea is: if you are good with your character, unlocking feats should now play to your characters strengths a bit more. The first feat would be changeable like they are now, but each option is on the same strength of usefulness across the board, and are more neutral in play style.

Now that a basic concept is laid out, work off of it, expand. I'm curious what people think.
