    Shugoki rework (what I would like to see)

    - No extra damage taken without hyper armor

    - MORE chains

    - Better Zone Attack

    - 500ms Light Attacks

    - Revert Oni Charge back to season 1 and only knocks down OOS

    - Be able to cancel on Unlockable stage of charge heavy attack

    - Better dodge frames

    - Remove Demons Embrace causes damage if miss

    - Unique feat for him ONLY, like how Kensei get Unblockable attack feat for only him. Something like Grip of the Oni, which makes his DE deal more damage and heals him for more. NO MORE insta kill.

    - make the healing gain during the damage application and not after he drops the target

    Just my thoughts. Share your suggestions for the Fat Man.

    Instakill from DE on LowHP and self-damaging is a pretty interesting trade-off.

    Oni was a pretty fun. Actually i was disappointed when we loss him, but few days ago i'm just pushed a few players from the ledge. So, looks like it's working somehow.

    Agreed about chains. Specially something shorter. Or dodge with attack - a slap in the ear, for instance. Same effect as a headkick, not op but gives you a row of control and some pay-off.

    - Better Zone Attack - I don't know. I think it's all right.

    - 500ms Light Attacks - Not sure he should have a 500ms attack, but maybe a little more attack range.

    - Revert Oni Charge back to season 1 and only knocks down OOS - Yes, would be nice to have an OOS punish.

    - Be able to cancel on Unlockable stage of charge heavy attack - Yes, it would make it less "all in".

    - Better dodge frames - Not sure it's fitting to the character.

    - Remove Demons Embrace causes damage if miss - Maybe not remove, but at least lessen the damage you take.

    - Unique feat for him ONLY, like how Kensei get Unblockable attack feat for only him. Something like Grip of the Oni, which makes his DE deal more damage and heals him for more. NO MORE insta kill. - Sure, why not. It's only for 4v4s.

    - make the healing gain during the damage application and not after he drops the target - It would be a nice group fight buff indeed.

    For the most part, the Shugoki is fine, he just needs a few tweaks here and there. The only "big" rework he needs is another attack chain. This is what I think will work well for him:

    Remove extra damage when his uninterruptable stance is consumed.

    A small stamina regen upon healing when using Demons Embrace. A large stamina regen if on critial health.

    A light - light attack chain and a heavy - light chain. That way the Shugoki always has at least 2 options after the first hit to start a chain.

    Fix the bug that veers the Shugoki wildly off to the side when using his zone attack vs soldiers.

    Make his headbutt inflict a small amount of health damage (or increase the stamina damage), since it can only be used on a successful strike and you cannot chain anything to it. Also allow it to ledge people if possible and end any chain with it eg heavy - heavy - headbutt or light - heavy - headbutt. This helps the Shugoki keep his distance but also punish them for letting his slower attacks build momentum.

    Charge of the Oni to knock down anyone OOS (I like this idea). While this wont do much in 1vs1 it ups the Shugokis 4vs4 game.

    Need to boost the shugoki

    I just started using the shugoki again in season 5... it is a lot harder to get kills and the shugoki is not as effective against crowds as he should be based on his character. I agree with the posts above on the specific reworks but I think the shugoki definitely needs a boost if the dev team wants an evenly matched range of character. Right now the shugoki is definitely one of the worst

    Here is my personal suggestions:
    ~passive Armor is now gone. Instead goki naturally takes reduced damage on opening moves. But normal damage from combos.
    ~Goki now has a light into heavy combo.
    ~Goki now has active armor on his attacks. meaning if goki wants to trade goki has to potentially risk something.
    ~Goki's charging heavies now become unblockable much sooner. and can be feinted.
    ~Goki now has 600ms dodge recovery.
    ~Goki now has better recovery so people can't just get ez GB's on nearly everything he does.
    ~Goki has better dash distance.
    ~Goki's demon ball will knock people down when they're OOS (or he's in revenge.)
    ~Goki's demon embrace no longer varies value wise. It's consistent regardless of his health. No longer can OHK in critical. Landing a demons embrace now gives passive armor. it will withstand 2 hits. Gb's have no effect on it.

    And i'll comment on your suggestions as well:

    1) I kind of already addressed this in my suggestions. Essentially goki will still have damage midigation. But in a much healthier way. Both for him and for people he fights.

    2) Yes. I'd love if nearly every hero in the game got anywhere from 1-3 more combo strings.

    3) Eh. better in what way? his is already pretty decent. unless the recovery on it's cancel is super bad and i'm just not aware of that.

    4) Considering he's one of the only heros that doesn't have one i'd be fine with this.

    5) I made this suggestion. but also with it knocking people down when he's got revenge.

    6) I suggested something similar to this.

    7) hmm. are you asking for better dodge distance? or dodge recovery?

    8) If DE stays as is and doesn't get fixed values like I suggested no. there should be an offset to being able to both OHK and get a majority of your HP back in a single move.

    9) unique feat per hero would be cool. But until they manage to sort out the mess that is feats atm I wouldn't want more added in.

    10) I understand why you'd like this change. but I'm not sure it would fix the problem that you're attempting to address here. I mean kensei's new long execution gets his HP back instantly but i've seen plenty of kensei nearly die or out right die during it because he was still trapped in the animation.

    Another thought. He's supposed to be a hard hitter and disabler. I feel giving hin the ability to headbutt after any attack/chain helps there.

    But for the hard hitter, he needs a slight damage increase to all attacks as well as a minor attack speed increase. He can have all the damage in the world but it means little when all his attacks are slow enough to easily parry.

    This with my previous comments should put him in a more comfortable position.

    The sumo character doesn't have a shove. I think he needs a real rework, not just 'adjustments.' In addition to deeper Light/Heavy strings, maybe something new like a unique GB (like Centurion) that can be soft-feinted from heavies or follow a headbutt (stoppable but not counterable in the latter's case), A LB-speed top light, Oni Charge changed from a sprint no-lock action to a 'from lock-on & neutral position' shove.

    If he's suppose to be a damage soaker, health restore meta archetype, there are better ways to incorporate that as well. He can't handle outnumbered (because of his Super armor penalties), he's garbage 1v1 unless you setup ledging cheese. His outstanding damage isn't very unique to him anymore. He's only any good when he's in a group sniping charged/semi-charged unblockables, headbutts, and Demon's Embrace.

    I always liked the idea of rock steady being changed from a feat to a passive part of his toolkit, but when Aramusha came out with the same Feat that feeling got put on ice, i guess.

    And the parry change didn't do him any favors. Shallow kits like Shugoki's are the one's that got hurt the most with the removal of GB from Parry.

    I'd be happy with more chains, and to completely remove the damage on miss for Demon's Embrace at the cost of insta kill at low health. There have been times when I've accidentally caused input for Embrace and lost because I wanted to GB instead, and the miss from not setting my opponent up for it put me at 1 hit.

    On top of that, somehow Kizan was able to recover from my throw and dodged my Embrace and killed me.
