Thoughts concerning the playable area map? | Forums

I'm wondering what is the intended playable area. Are we talking strictly Indian ocean as in west coast of Africa / Madagascar + coastline of India and Southeast Asia, or does it push to detail the Indonesian and Philippine archipelagos and Chinese coast as well?

Personally if it doesn't include the archipelagoes in some detail, I'd be disappointed. I mean... they would make awesome staging ares and for more interesting sailing than just open oceans and shorelines. They also have a history of piracy to this very day, even tho the Philippines are technically in the Pacific.

I'd say the East Coast of Africa will for sure be included, I'm not sure if I can see it stretching out to Australia though.
