I just started maining PK and i just saw what is gonna annoy me in the future. EVERYTIME I face an LB, he turtles. Now before you think that I'm just ****talikng LB mains, I want to tell you that I can handle them with any other hero and know that he isn't op. My problem is that there is simply nothing you can do as PK when he turtles. I tryed switch to GB feinting, attacking from different sides, using zone attack, nothing works. They simply twist their guard in all directions waiting for a block and counter.
My question is: Is there ANY way to handle him with PK?
You're tasting of your own poison, my friend. PKers also turtle a lot, by the nature of their counter-attacker design, plus they're assassins and fast hitters. You just can't expect people to not turtle you, but I guess you already know that.
Law-Bringers are also counter-attackers and disablers. There is no other way to play LB. Moral of the story: He is your nemesis. Your only hope is to dance with him until he makes a mistake (a.k.a. fainting).
Oh boy, you are biased on PK's... Funny thing that almost everybody complains about PK being "spammy" with their light attacks and Zone, and people cannot defend against it because "too fast". Now someone tells you that for a PK it is impossible to break a turtle (which is 100% true), and you come in and tell him that he "tastes his own poison"? You see the irony?Originally Posted by ErgoSpam Go to original post
PK has no way to open up a turtle player. You have to commit to the staring contest and wait for him to attack or you can run to a different fight....
You are acting like the Lawbringer is some kind of unstoppable force of nature. In reality, he is absolutely horrible in 1v1's and a competent Peacekeeper will destroy a Lawbringer in a duel. You can play the patience game with a turtling Lawbringer until it becomes a staring contest sure, but the Peacekeeper has way better openers and arguably better damage/movesets in the long run.
But if he just watches you and shoves, it is insignificant how much damage you would deal, you won't deal any. You can't force a parry out as a pk from anybody, and the lawbringer has a safe way to defend himself against you. In 1v1, that's fine, both players will feel pretty bored soon, the pk can deflect the lights after the shoves, so the lawbringer will start playing or it will be a staring contest. However, it's still a bit unfair, the shove game will be the only game you can play, and the lawbringer has advantage in that situation- I had to block damage on off and wait for a timer in a tournament. He did not throw anything until he realized that he will lose if he lost more hp than me.
In 4v4, however, the pk will completely fail as an assasin, because the lb can just block shove until he gets revenge or reinforcements and hold the zone by basically doing nothing at all. That's unfair.
The pk might need some rework on her zone, but she needs unblockables too. And the block-shove must go (with lawbringer buffs added, he can be as boring as the pre-rework conq).
LB doesn't have a way to open a turtle either. Also he said nothing insulting against PKs at all. A PK has to counter against heros, Lawbringer has to also counter against heros. Only difference between them that requires Lawbringers to turtle more is the slow move set. Also after 14 reps with PK I have come to the conclusion that right now she is the worst assassin in the game. You can make her work with dedication..just understand you will have to do alot of feinting to get in an attack sometimes, or turtle and use ur deflect bleed. On the other hand after 43 reps as a Lawbringer I can assure you playing him like ur using a vanguard is gonna get you dropped by any character. You simply have to apply some turtling if your win ratio is something you hold sacred.
Lawbringer is just one of PK's cancer matchups, just like Conqueror is a cancer matchup for Lawbringer. This game has some absolutely wretched matchups in it and if you're planning on solo maining a character then you're just gonna have to come to terms with that. If your goal is to win then don't play Peacekeeper vs. Lawbringer. Only thing you can do at the moment unfortunately.
