Warden rework-the one we need and want

Warden and why I think he should have gotten a new move
I really like the warden. He’s a good character but the fact that he has no real unblockable attack is annoying. He does have his over head counter attack but you guys could have just let him be able to counter attack on all sides but that side counters only do 10-20 damage because he would essentially be punching the opponent in the face with the hilt. But this would also cause Stun.

Another move to give him would be the ability to do a half swording lunge. This would activate and work much on the same way the gladiator does his Skewer move but it wouldn’t cause bleed it would just be an unblockable stab for like 20-30 damage. Because this doesn’t have an effect it would be considered a heavy and allowed to execute people if this is the move that kills them.

Another way I think you could make it different is to allow a combo to continue after this move connects. It would be a light attack where the warden would release the hilt and move it to the blade under his other hand during the attack. This attack should cause Stun and do 10-15 damage. Following this the warden has a few oppositions if the light
    connects.

He can shoulder bash and go into a shoulder bash mix up but if he does then he will won’t be able to do the scull smasher move see below

    BUT

If you can still do a single shoulder bash, and don’t throw out any light attacks then you go into a skull smasher mix up which still allows you to do either the unblockable side attack or the over head attack. See below for more details.

You could have given him a new heavy, light, heavy where the light causes Stun and the heavy is unblockable for like 35 damage. I would suggest it to be like a heavy attack and then for the light attack he can sticker them any direction with the hilt and if that lands then he can finish with like a grand slam using hilt and gaurd to send the opponent flying. But if he does it as a over head attack it’s no longer unblockable but does between 45-50 damage.
(This combo above is called Skull smasher.)

Skull smasher of course ends the combo

Another combo to give him is a new heavy, heavy, heavy combo. I call it false Strike or Sword upper cut: in this the first two heavy act exactly how they do in guardians assault. The third struck however comes from bellow moving upward in a crescent moon shape hitting enemies in the jaw/chin. This would be an unblockable attack that does 25-30 damage and has one of the two effects I lost below.
Either make it truly unblockable as in it can’t be parried so the only way to avoid the attack is to dodge or make it Stun the enemy on a hit.
Also make it so that fitting the start up of the 3rd heavy you can do a light attack to change the combo into a blunt strike combo. See below.

Another combo to give him would be a new heavy, heavy, light combo. I call it Blunt strike. The two heavy attacks will act the same as they do in guardians assault but the light attack will be an unblockable strike to the enemies face with the flat/blunt side of the long sword. This will only do 10-15 damage but will cause stun.
After the light you can also go into a shoulder bash mix up.

If you do this then I think he would truly be an adabile, good defense and offense character like most of his stuff clames him to be. I would just really love if you did this and I think it would put him on par with the Kensei who I think is at the perfect place for you to make all the other season one character just as good as.

Rather give him a mode like highlander. You go into halfswording mode where as you make counters you can stuntab him with the guard, light attack combos and have an parry into heavy top with the guard smacking him on the head. this seems a rather reasonable thing to do.

I totally agree on side counter strike
I don't believe his really adaptable right now
If you want to see his full power take a look at story mode , He is superman Indeed!

An interesting concept. Having his new moves expand upon existing ones would both keep his kit easy to approach aswell as more adaptable by actually giving choice and mix up potential.

I'm against giving him a Highlander-esque special fighting mode. Not only would that be lazy and derive off Highlanders uniqueness. It would go against his perceived design philosophy: Simplicity, jack-of-all-trades, skill through appliance of the fundamentals.
Thus a rework can't just add another layer of complexity onto a complex system, but should instead acknowledge the fundamental complexity of the combat system.

There is nothing complicated about the so called complicated characters. Adding moves does not increase difficulty when they are easily performed and have drastic effects. Oorochi is the easiest class in the game to play and win with, yet supposedly is more difficult? Another would be nobushi, I have played nobushi maybe 4 times since launch because I dont like spears and yet with zero practice I had 12-15 kills with maybe 2-3 deaths in dominion. Similar results with with oorochi, highlander, gladiator and berserker. They are labeled as hard characters but are far easier to win with, because they have more moves and can either grab or come from multiple directions with simple button mashing.

Playing a warden takes a whole lot of skill to succeed and even then falls short a lot.

Meanwhile the other classes I named are like how Eddie Guardo used to be in tekken or maxi in soul caliber.
