Dark Zone needs to have PVE or PVP choice

I used to think a separate area like Central Park was the answer but honestly if you would simply allow people to choose when they enter the Dark Zone to choose PVE or PVP just like with Survival then that would solve any issue with the Darkness Zone... PVE can still be that you can grab other people’s gear if they die but otherwise there would be no interaction with other agents around you... That way PVE fans would have a great reason and opportunity to continue to grind for Great gear and everyone looking to PVP can all go in together and still clear Landmarks for Gear and can sneak up and steal it back and forth from each other all they want...

I have Loved this game from Day 1 and have stuck with it even through the darkest of times... But the main thing that made 98% of my friends leave is the fact that the Darla Zone has been designed to make people work hard to get anything of value only to promote and encourage the Cowardly to sneak up and steal it right off your back. You guys have continued to promote the ****ness that is the Dark Zone and it has always been a disappointment... The Dark Zone is the perfect Endgame activity that is tough with High Level enemies and always fun except when a Cowardly Agent sneaks up and attacks after decking himself out specifically to do so... You allow them to have a plan of attack and just surprise it on anyone whether they are willing or not...

I understand people Love PVP but the Dark Zone setup has never been appropriate or fair allowing people to try to trick people into thinking they are cool only to shoot them in the back... It is generally a Slime Ball area for the Slimiest of all players and I have never understood the point of the way it is setup and promoted...

Allowing everyone to select what kind of Dark Zone experience they want would change everything for this game and in my opinion bring a lot of people back that were turned off by the Dark Zone since the beginning...

    Please consider this...

Sorry but I dont see it that way and Im a pver.

There already is Pve. There is just risk attached.

If anything the developers need to address 3 key things to make the dz a "bettter" experience:
    1. Server connections/latency, Ppl joining servers from across the world and being able to Neo-kill matrix style.
    2. Stop super groups from banding together. Or put those into one specific server with at least other 4 players teams so they can all go, all in against each other.
    3. Make avoiding or evading rogue encounters rewardable.

If you dont enjoy pvp or like me are not any good at it you must learn to adapt. Either develop the tactics and gearset/skills to avoid confrontation and stay one step ahead of the gankers. Or accept you will die alot and see it as a necessary evil.

    I adapted.
    I don't use the DZ.
If there isn't sufficient useful (dtech) and entertaining open world PvE in the game, I'll adapt to that too. There are a lot of games out there I want to play.

oh. and I have a list of other people who you can tell to adapt.....

I'd love for a PvE DZ. But it ain't going to happen.

This has been suggested since day 1 but IIRC Massive have said it's not something they'll do.

Yes but, as stated multiple times, the risk is all on the shoulders of PvE players. The rogues can only gain by going rogue.

As for the PvE as is, there are no rewards for doing it. If you're looking for rewards you're pretty much stuck running resistance on a loop.

All the great PvE content we have is voided by this. Saying the biggest part of the game is PvE means nothing if it rewards nothing.

The DZ feeds off of PvE people that run the landmarks and then get gunned down at extraction points, and this is the reason why DZ fanboys are so much against a PvE DZ: they would need to put in the time to clear the landmarks and not just sit there and wait for others to do it for them. Oh, the horror!

No. A PVE dark zone would only kill this game faster.

I think you misunderstand the dark zone. It isn't supposed to be fair. If players wanted a fair battle, then they would be playing in skirmish.

It's about being the hunter or being hunted or both. That's the thrill. That's the game mode. That's the risk. That's the dark zone.

This has been asked before and as always the answer is an absolute no.

Then why complain about cheaters? If it isn't supposed to be fair, then anything goes right?
