Right now, if you manually destroy a support station you get a heal equal to 33% of your life. Plus overheal. Plus all the benefits of the support station itself (e.g. immunizer cleanse). Now, 33% of approximately 400k hp is about 132k heal that can overheal. To achieve the same effect with basic (no mods) first aid you will need around 220k skillpower! Does it make sense that a 9k stamina, 4k firearms, or some such have 220k skillpower? Besides, the cooldown on immunizer is way shorter than on first aid.
Before changing any classified set, please, adress skills first. Maybe, current "t1" sets with their strong heal and damge are't that bad if you put them in the right circumstances where they have to rely on heals from an actual dedicated healer. Maybe, electronic skill will see play in pvp.
When popped support station should give the same amount of heal as basic first aid, based on user's electronics, and give no overheal.
Basically the reason 9/4 or 7/6 (or other similar builds) work is because you can cheat the electronics.
When you have 2,900 electronics your first aid heal is garbage and this is well balanced. You can still get use out of the skill with booster shot for damage resistance.
Meanwhile the medbox does not interrupt you while shooting (even though first aid does - please fix) and gives you 33% heal regardless of electronics score.
Anybody who is looking for fair and balanced can tell very quickly that having a medbox that can 33% heal you for free with zero electronics investment is absolute cheese.
The bottom line is that you should not be getting good skills with 2900 electronics. Yes there should be some skills that work with zero investment; as an example the airburst seeker will still catch enemies on fire (the gas will disorient as well). Likewise you can use blind/ emp stickybomb with no electronics and still have a good effect. But at the end of the day if you want to heal then you need to invest points in electronics.
An extremely easy fix is to change the medbox to give 0% healing when blown up if the player has less than 5,000 electronics.
Changing the master mod would again punish PvE players for PvP problems. PvE players rarely drop/blow the box immediately but its used in PvP constantly.
My Solution: Any station "POPPED" within 5s of being placed WHILE IN COMBAT THEN DOES NOT result in any heal, cleanse or overheal.
in Short:
Keep the heal the same
Keep overheal the same
If "POPPED" within 5 seconds of being placed no heal occurs while in combat
OUTSIDE Combat no change to current effect regardless when "popped"
Yeah, I'm down with that.Originally Posted by Garyfairbrass Go to original post
I agree that those that focus on FA or Stam shouldn't get that big heal. I also think it is a great clutch group heal for a player focusing on healing. https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...dea?p=13276813 this is the idea I had, let me know what you guys think I don't want to steal this post but posting the link is easier than typing it all out again.
Thing is yeah it can be used a bit of a cheesey way in PVP and even somewhat of a crutch in PVE but also you have people who use it at the bleeding edge in PVE and especially if they don't fix the problem with "inferior" support stations slowing down the healing of fully bonused ones leaving it out for 5 seconds to pop it is going to cause issues in that contextOriginally Posted by Force_Dragon Go to original post
Also I'm dead against any change like this unless/until the issues with random healing delay/lag/failure are fixed and/or other things like the change to healing while ADS which exacerbate the problems when heals are massive lagged or don't go off properly are changed.
If you want a heal box to heal you then you need to put points in electronics to be fair. I mean where's my 33% damage boost active all the time because I bothered to put points into electronics and actually have a good heal box? It doesn't exist.Originally Posted by Rroff Go to original post
Literally anyone trying to use the heal box legitimately will have at least 5k in electronics. Change the mastery to say if you have 5000 or more electronics then you get healed when blowing up the box. It's that simple to fix pvp/pve cheese. Literally everyone knows blowing up the box is first aid 2.0 and it is being abused in a silly fashion. As compensation you can have the box give more/greater heals when blown up. Maybe with 10k Electronics you get a 100% overheal.
Server issues and lag are not a reason to allow cheese to continue.
