How we're dealing with the Infinite Rematch Lobby Bug

    Hello everyone,

We know a number of you have been affected by the dreaded "zombie session"issue, where you will end up in a post-match Lobby that doesn't ever proceed to the next match. Eventually, you quit the session and can return to the game in another session, but the zombie session stays live, with more users being joined into it, and the cycle continues.

This week, hopefully tomorrow if everything aligns, we will introduce a measure to contain these sessions. A sort of Zombie Quarantine. It will detect when a post-match lobby has lasted longer than is normal and prevent new people from joining after players quit out of it. So, yes, you will still need to quit out when it occurs, but it will not live on beyond you and your session-mates.

Once we have the go ahead to deploy this, we will update you with exact timings and any downtime related to the maintenance. While this is not a fix, it should be an effective measure, as the instances where these sessions are created are rather isolated. It's the ongoing, never dying nature of those created ones that causes a larger problem.
