    Turtles

Turtling completely ruins this game, the parry update didn't help at all.

I fought a guy earlier (HollowBlunt96), 3 times (due to terrible MM) & he actually did NOT attack ONCE!
He honestly sat there, until I got bored of staring at him, for me to then throw an attack, feint or whatever, then him punish me for playing the game how it's meant to be played.
This game is so broken, turtling should be a punishable offence. BAN THESE ****ING players!!! Let him be the first of many.

parry was only PART of the problem... blocking lights shouldn't stop chains imo.

Don’t post people’s usernames. Perhaps try a different tactic if you’re struggling against a defensive player.

Wow, rage-much? I don't find the block game to be all that frustrating, with chip damage and unblockables, and stamina drain. What I find ridiculous is dodging, which avoids damage completely, many characters can attack right out of, and magically don't drain stamina, while seeming to also operate faster than switching your block stance for many characters.

Lol, what character are you playing that you literally can't attack? And mayhaps he didn't throw an attack because you didn't throw an attack?

Calm down man, they are working on this.

Also, they have posted a few solutions that are going to appear in the game. For example, bloking will cost stamina, so full defensive players will loose stamina witch every hit they block waiting for the parry. Also, parries are gonna cost stammina too. There are gonna be changes for what happens when you are out of stammina too, making it riskier.

So...defensive mode costing stamina+you are ****ed up out of stamina seems to be a good way to avoid turtling.

If you want my personal oppinion, the only way to open a turtle is to feint until he commits a mistake, or maybe to the moment you can land a breakguard and then ledge them into the abbys.

Free fall is a pretty good way to open turtles.

Feints are designed to deceive people going for parries, your opponent have to make a right guess to parry you. You can always feint and guardbreak, or feint and throw out a different attack. Attacking is more rewarding damage wise with the new changes (except a few scenarios), a turtle can only win now if he is predicting almost everything perfectly. If he can do that, the problem is with your mixup game. Try to play with more calmly and patiently, and then you will be able to tell which attacks does he expecting. If he doesn't react to heavies, but tries to parry the lights after you feint the heavies, throw out a second heavy or a guardbreak. If he tries to go for the raider's stunning tap, just throw out the original attack. If you do lots of different things, it's unlikely that a turtle will beat you.

Of course, there is one exception: the lawbringer against characters with no unblockables. Then there isn't much to do, he can just block-shove you to death pretty easily.
