Side Attacks and Deflect Attacks Meta

    Good afternoon, Ubisoft,

Can you please do something about the unbalanced behavior of side attacks and deflect attacks. Unfortunately, the games defensive meta is nonexistent. Which forces more offensive behavior. The problem with this (other than cutting an entire gameplay mechanic out of the game) is that it obviously forces us to go on the offensive, which there are certain characters that were not designed for that. This gives the players that wanted the defensive meta gone a distinct advantage. Mainly, all assassins, who can easily dodge all of the slow attacks that the defensive heroes throw at them, they can also get free high damage attacks simply by retaliating against the other hero's attack, e.g. deflect attacks. This isn't a fair advantage as the assassins should not have superior defensive capabilities. Please find a way to balance this, bring back the defense gameplay mechanic to better counter these side attacking heroes, or make a dodge move cost an exaggerated amount of stamina. Thank you

Very exaggerated lol as deflect is the most situationall move you can do as a assassin and its harder to pull of then parry a duel flight gives them a free gb so the "unfairness" most heros get a light from deflect ffs you get more damage from parry if your a shinobi peacekeeper shaman or orichi gets a heavy that's dodge able as well as a light (glad get a ub skewer and zerk gets a throw there the only deflects that you may consider "op" )

I have never had an issue dealing with deflect, the side attacks get a bit annoying though. Peacemaker is the only one i cant handle.

Play against an opponent that knows how to use the Peacekeeper, or Berzerker. They will be able to punish you for attacking them left or right every time. Dodging for a side attack from an upper heavy strike is just as easy for them. The Conqueror has an awesome new counter, when he turtles, he can retaliate against an attack with an unblockable uppercut. Unfortunately, he can be guard broke during this state. That is my point, there is a form of balance there. With the side attacks and deflect attacks, their is no punishment for them for using these abilities. They simply get free hits just because their opponent is attacking. It is obviously an unfair advantage.

Yes, dodge turtling is pretty annoying to play against. If you have a hyper armor chain you can at least get some damage in, else you may have a problem.
