In my opinion they should give Cent more variety of attack options but they should remove his ability to knock you down when you aren't even OOS. To me it has always seemed stupid to make a character based entirely around stamina draining and then also let him knock you down when you still have stamina. It's redundant when you already want him to get people into OOS easier than most.

The whole point of Centurion was supposed to be a stamina draining hero who then bullies you around and knocks you down easier than others when he's gotten you OOS. The devs need to define the Centurion's role much more clearly and go with that in his rework - he's either going to be a stamina drainer & OOS bully or lose the stamina drains and just be a better version of the Valkyrie with more "trip up" attacks designed to put the enemy on the ground but not both.

Figures... I return after several months (played at launch for a few months) and wanted to make Centurion my main, and he gets beat with a nerf bat.

And essentially twice at the same time; when you nerf one hero, and buff others... it’s a double nerf.

Ubi, if you’re listening, avoid this at all cost. I would much rather see weak hero’s buffed, rather than some buffed and some nerfed. It’s nearly impossible to achieve balance if you do both simultaneously.

Don't, unless you don't care about winning or losing.

I highly recommend picking up Gladiator until Centurion is reworked.

Too late... already blew the cash before I knew he was nerfed into a turd. =( I’m going to attempt him anyway... I want to see if he’s viable in some way that maybe ppl have overlooked.

Probably not the case... but I’m going to try anyway.

I was pissed and probably did overreact a little. He is my main and the nerf he got was overkill. Then you have the buffs that have happened to other characters across the board, and he is the bottom of the totem pole. I really couldn’t care less about winning or losing. I like a good fight. Period. I consider myself to be a solid Centurion. Against other Centurions, I win probably 80-90% of my matches. But I play against a good player using other characters and I have no chance. That is what pisses me off. I will agree with people and say he is a noob stomper. He punishes people that have no defense but gets dismantled by better players. Played a guy last night had to be like 10 straight matches and just got pummeled. I may have lucked up and won 1 or 2 rounds. Rest of the time, I was wrecked. It won’t happen that much if the characters were even remotely close to each other. And Ubi deserves the criticism cause you have to be a special kind of stupid to make it so obviously lopsided on purpose.

I don't think the cent Nerf was too bad to be honest. My friend is a cent main and rips people apart. Cent heavies are still fast and strong. His wall splat still does a **** ton of damage. He has decent pressure with his kick and punch to take away your stamina and keep you there. Still has his soft feints. I think he's in a pretty good place. It's definitely not as easy at it used to be for sure with the parry nerfs. But I wouldn't call him bottom tier. He's pretty balanced. I'm not a cent pro by any means so it's just my two cents.

Nobody cares to talk about orochi or especially valk because nobody plays them. Which is unfortunate because valk is one of my favorite classes. Just sucks

I actualyl say orochi is stronger than Centurion. Orochi has more to his kit to offer than Centurion brings to the table.

Deflects, really good zone, top lights, and even the Back heavy. He just offers more consistency imo.

THats not to say Orochi is good, but I can understand why most people think Centurion is in a worse state atm. Centurion ONLY brings his parry punish and thats it. Zone is trash. Lights and heavys are medicore and are easily punished for free hits if you pay attention. The kick is laughably easy to dodge. If it was as fast as the Noobushi kick, then yea it would be good but its easily dodged and punished. Jab is never confirmed.

Both of them need help, but centurion needs it just a smidge more, not that he will ever receive a rework in the near future, since the OG cast is the only one being focused.

Not to bad? He was hurt in every possible way imaginable. From range to speed, he was nerfed. Strong heavies? Believe they are the weakest in the game. Charged heavy is 30 and his wall splat, while it looks cool, barely does more damage than many characters regular 1 hit moves that can be performed at anytime. You clearly don’t know the character at all.
