From what I have heard is that Outposts remain which has been constant in the franchise since 3 which is awesome. The only thing I been thrown off by is the removal off the franchise staple radio towers that I have grown to love. Has their been any mention of something replacing them for the exploration and accumulative seeking aspect of looking for radio towers and climbing them? Will their be say red necks to find, ammo supply sheds, ect... any old "find it and capture it" type exploration ojectives. Any side goals mentioned yet?
There are now what are known as "Prepper Stashes" that offer similar gameplay & navigational puzzle solving that seem to have taken many of the roles towers once held. They don't unlock weapons or reveal the surrounding area on the map, but there is loot to be found and sometimes location revealing map pick ups and perk point providing magazines in addition to random weapons & money caches.... This video shows how they function..
Yeah, I much prefer this system from the looks of it. I never hated towers, but never had any level of affection for them either. Didn't like that there was really no justification for them revealing the map in 4, at least in 3 they attempted to explain that. Didn't like that they gave you a free weapon, thought it should've been they revealed a side mission where you earn a free weapon by completing it. Stashes seem like a good replacement in that to me they are a marked improvement to the system...
Works for me, and thanks to that great video now we see some of the things we'll be climbingOriginally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post. Bees again, just don't piss them off and also think how you can use them as a weapon. Good stuff in there Ubisoft!
and if you destroy bees nest with fire they do not attack but used weapons they attack nearest target so is some stratigy to use them against enemyOriginally Posted by MikeJDRW Go to original post
LOL! They may call them bees in game, but I've never seen real bees in a nest like those. Paper wasps, hornets, or yellow jackets. When I go out to my storage shed in a few weeks to put the battery back in my lawn tractor; I'll go in REAL careful like in case I've got "guests" (quite common each spring).
That was definitely tower climbing; even if there was no PA/Cell transponder stuff to turn on/off at the top. I was kinda worried I wouldn't have anything to fall down off of to waste half my health or croak myself!![]()
That's er 'Prepper' stashes...
We don't get hornets here in buildings, but we do tend to get their nests beneath the eaves of the house roof. The best way I've learned to deal with those is to kill the nest with a long spray poison and then just leave the nest up, as I'm told hornets won't live in previous nests... The only time I've been stung by a hornet was after I placed my blanket jacket on a wood corral post and then put it on back when I was a kid. Apparantly a hornet had landed on it while I wasn't wearing it and I didn't look when I put it back on.....happened only once!Originally Posted by Flanker1Six Go to original post
