Man, this game is For Honor not For Parry. Parry is just one way to hit an opponent. I play on PC and I can still hit people with mix up stunning tap and heavy. In console you have to guess the light attack due to frame rate. 2 Block Heavy of Raider is equal to a weak light attack already.
Raider hit like a truck, his running grab burning stamina and very easy to lead the opponent to out of stamina. His combo when opponent fall from grab out of stamina is the best combo in the game.
One correct read lead to a heavy punishment from Raider.
Raider is not the best char in the game but he's decent. I'm satisfy with the new patch right now. Now Raider doesn't have to be afraid of some fast char like Peace Keeper, PK in the old game just spam zone, feint and parry poison stab for the whole game and raider can't do much.
Stop playing the boring game, Wait - Parry and Feint, just attack, mix up. This is the Fighting Game not Turtle Game.
Games is just a hack and slash now sadly, don’t get me wrong I enjoy the HnS genre, but when I came to FH it was because I wanted to take a break from that, something slower, with a bit more thought to it.
Tier gaps are now even larger than before, and raider is indeed useless, unless you are in a 4v4 mode and you’re attacking someone that’s not even looking at you, or you happen to be fighting someone new or not too skilled. Also although I play raider a lot I am not a raider main, I mostly pay assassins, that at least have deflects but even then I no longer enjoy them or any hero after these changes.
I honestly didn’t give it to much thought when the change were 1st talked about, and I made the mistake of not playing the public test that had the changes, would had given up on the game sooner, or played it even more before this **** happened...

I still remember the full last year, how many people claimed that the defensive meta doesn't exist or is only present on PC...
Those people are now coming into forum like this and reddit and cry out because something is wrong, the defense meta is gone.
No more pure reliance on Parries into GB - actually now you need to pay attention to what you are parry and even then devs made it easier with a light parry effect.
Those people who always played the defensive meta but never understood what it was - the fact that defensive tools where just superior.
Because most people thought that turtles where the reason and called it turtle meta, what was not entirely true.
We now still have turtles, but it doesn't have such and effect anymore.
Get yourself together and learn to play the game and not just to parry!!
I have been playing since the betas, I am aware of what the game is and I know that it was the right game for me, I have enjoyed its gameplay for over a year, however you are right that the game as of season 5 is no longer a game for me and I will probably just move on.Originally Posted by Wardensc2 Go to original post

Removal of gb after parry is one of the reasons i came back to this game.
Rebalancing will have to be done , e.g. the knight vanguard does much more damage after a heavy parry thatn everyone else and combos off it (side double lights). and some classes dont get enough off light parries when compared to other classes.
Either way guaranteed gb after parry was a braindead mechanic and im glad its gone.
